1. Water
Water is more powerful at healing the body than we realize. Remember that
the Grand Canyon was created from the strength of water. Drink a large glass
of water every morning and envision the water flushing toxins and impurities
out of your body. This purification process will hydrate your organs, tissues,
and cells and allow you to think more clearly and have more energy
throughout the day.
!
The human body is mostly made of water, and hydration is vital to keep the
body in balance and to promote good health. People can literally have a
chronic dehydration issue for years without ever becoming aware of it.  Leg
cramps, chronically dry eyes, anxiety and mood disorders, brain-fog as well as
more severe symptoms like kidney stones can manifest as a result of chronic
dehydration. When these symptoms arise, the solution can often be good
hydration achieved with consistent water intake.

2. Walking
Walking is an ideal form of exercise as it has the power to transform your
physical, emotional, and spiritual body all in one. It is a gentle yet effective
form of movement that provides healing, detoxification, and restoration. Some
of the physical benefits include lowered blood pressure and cholesterol,
increased flexibility and muscle tone, balanced endocrine system, improved
circulation, decreased stress and hypertension, higher oxygen intake and
absorption, stimulated metabolism and digestion, and detoxification of the
organs and tissues.
!
Walking also has several emotional and spiritual benefits as well such as
alleviating depression, lowering anxiety, stabilizing mood, increasing “feel
good” emotions, connecting you with a higher source, freeing your soul,
gaining spiritual clarity, bringing awareness to the present moment, and
helping to connect you to spirit guides and the natural world around you.
Try walking for 20 minutes a few times a week and slowly build yourself up to
30 minutes or more everyday. Walking with your pet or friends or family is a
wonderful way to connect, communicate, and enjoy being with those who you
love.

3. Laughter
Laughter and a sense of humor benefit the mind, body and soul in many
different ways. Laughter alleviates stress, relieves high blood pressure, and
eases digestive stress.  A very old and useful phrase to remember is: keep a
light heart. Keeping a light heart means having a sense of humor and ease
about everyday situations and uncommon situations.  If you look at life with
humor, you ease stress and you feel better about everything so keep your
view positive. Laughter can actually prevent strokes and it helps with healthy
hormone production. Why do you think kings had jesters? It is because they
knew the value and benefits of laughter. Laughter is important like food and
water. You need humor to gain health and vitality. It benefits multitudes of
issues including PTSD, nervous system problems, anxiety and
depression. Everyone can find something they think is funny. Give yourself the
gift of laughter at every opportunity. Every human being has that right and
ability. Search for ways to stimulate joy and laughter. Look at things you might
not even think would bring you joy and find the joy. Seek laughter wherever
you think you can find it and enjoy a better life.

4. Gardening
The therapeutic effect of gardening is not to be underestimated. It’s one of the
best ways to get back to nature and feel a union with the natural environment
that surrounds us. The garden can be large or small – it doesn’t matter.
!
The point is to work with the soil and touch the ground. Secure your life force
and strengthen it by working with the soil. The Earth strengthens your life aura
and your internal organs become stronger. The liver begins to detoxify and
the organs become revitalized by the natural energetic detoxification
provided by the Earth and its soil.
!
By working in the garden we gain a sense of our connection to the source
from which we came. We can continually feel this source within us for days and
access it at any time we wish. Take advantage of the life and wealth the soil
brings to you and become truly alive.

10. Sleep
Good, quality sleep is essential for strength and stability of the mind and
body. The four most critical hours of sleep for healing and repair are between
the hours of 10pm-2am. During these hours, the body undergoes healing and
restorative processes especially for liver, lymphatic, immune, cognitive,
cardiovascular, and endocrine function.
!
In fact, in terms of healing, it is better for the body to get sleep earlier in the
night than to sleep later on in the morning.
!
One of the most common mistakes people make when trying to heal is to go
to bed too late. Even if one tries to sleep later in the morning it still deprives
the body of the critical healing hours of sleep between 10pm-2am that it
requires to repair itself. By respecting your body’s natural rhythm, your body
will heal faster and feel more vital and alive.
