ControlLogix Redundancy

Version 16

Redundancy enables higher productivity by providing higher

system availability by switching control to a secondary
controller chassis if the primary redundancy module detects
an event on any module in the primary chassis.

Higher availability results in less downtime. ControlLogix

redundancy can help if you:
• need the ability to maintain the system without stopping
the controller.
• run continuous processes where downtime can result in
equipment damage or expensive restarts
• deal with high volumes of product where downtime
would result in significant loss in revenue
• produce expensive product where downtime could result
in damage to the product
• control high visibility processes where downtime could
cause large-scale public inconvenience

With ControlLogix redundancy, you can establish • upgrading an existing RSLogix 5000 version 11 or higher
