The other side of immigration

Migration represent a movement of people, from a country to another one, which has
intentions of settling, permanently or temporary in a specific geographic area.
The majority of the people who migrates from Mexico to the United States is represented
by the Mexicans who are living in the countryside. Most of them are men, low-skilled
farmers, unauthorized workers seeking economic opportunities. Basically, the main reason
Mexicans migrate is for the money that can ensure a better future for them and for their
families.
Not all the Mexicans can migrate easly, but people from the countryside, the poor people
migrate the most, and almost none of them want to stay in the United States permanently.
They say they work between ten and fourteen hours per day, for more money. The major
problem is that the Government of Mexico does not care about the people and it does not
support them in any possible way. The big difference is that the farmers in the US are more
skilled, know how to trade better, they have support and also have many developed
machinery.
Regarding the politics, as I have already mentioned, the Government is extremely
corrupted. In every town there are few people who can say that they live a better life, but
most of them are cosidered „the right hand of the mayor”. Everytime when ellection time is
getting close, the politicians promise to the nation they will have a better future, but
instead, farmers have to sell their lands, because it is very expensive to grow corn or
anything else and the prices will not be affortable.
Another aspect, probably the most frustrating one is that the families are separated.
Most of the women are standing home with their children, while the husbands are working
in the United States to send money back home. It is impossible to keep a child in school if
you do not have at least one member of the family over the border, otherwise the kids
cannot acquire a proper education.
To sum it up, the money that the immigrants send home stimulates the local economy. It
is not fair for them to live such a painful life, more than that to be discriminated, and here, I
am not talking about any wall, because they are not criminals, bad people are everywhere
actually. Mexicans need the help of the United States more than anything, and they also are
wondering what would they do if there was no US. Mexico is a very beautiful country, but
they cannot have good income only from the tourism, which also helps, but it is not enough.
