Ensure the title starts with –An Organizational study on…. and ends
with Bangalore.
Title should be in single inverted commas
Mr/Ms must be prefixed to the names of the guide and the student
Check for the correct spellings of the content
Content must be as per the format with both college logo and
university logo wherever applicable

Introduction:
Industry Scenario - Macro and Micro(relating to the
industry of the dissertation)
Points to be noted
Macro Scenario means the Industry performance of the
world as a whole
Micro Scenario means the Industry performance in India
Not to mention about the company in specific.
Content: Industry genesis, market size, growth rate,
Industry profit margin, competition, seasonality and
cyclicality, economies of Scale, Technology, external
environmental factors etc must be covered.

Market share ( if it’s a listed company)

Points to be noted
Inception and back ground: who, when, where and why the
company was started.
Nature of Business: Mention if it’s a manufacturing/
service/trading company. Explain in detail the type of
business. Add the workflow model of the business process.
Area of Operation: Classify the area of operation into Local,
regional, national and international branches. Mention only
the number of branches .
Vision and Mission: Do not change anything in the
statements including font and the content
Points to be noted
Product or Service profile: Post the images of the products
with technical specifications.
Maximum 5 products to be highlighted
Mention the sources of image being copied.
Competitors profile: list the names of the competitors on
some bases like geographical location, market share,
similar products, same target populations etc.
Market share: You can find the market share of the
company if it is a listed company. Search for the data in
Moneycontrol.com.
To calculate market share: Total Revenue of the company/
Total Revenue of the Industry.
Points to be noted
Awards: The awards received recently must be mentioned
giving the details of why and who give this award. ISO, ISI
etc are the common ones to be added.
CSR: Mention the various CSR activities of the company
benefitting the different stake holders like employees,
customers, financial institutions, insurance companies,
public and the government.
SWOC analysis:
Strengths : Core competency, Intellectual property, superior
customer service, differentiated products, loyal customer
base, Economies of scale, State of the art technology, good
supply chain management
Points to be noted
Weakness: Lack of core competency, more debt in capital
structure, low market share, poor quality products, weak
brand name, High production cost, under utilization of the
plant and machinery, obsolete technology and weak
financial position
Opportunities: LPG, Increased population, surplus income,
life style of people, forward and backward integration,
decreased trade barriers, mergers and acquisitions, vertical
and horizontal integration, new geographic locations.
Challenges: increased competition, substitute products,
increased buyer bargaining power and supplier bargaining
power, unexpected shift in buyers choices, development of
costly technology, reduced demand
Organization Structure
An organizational structure is a system that outlines how
certain activities are directed in order to achieve the goals
of an organization.
Define the type of organizational structure
Mention the hierarchical levels and not the names of the
people occupying the positions
Types of the structures available are:
a. Functional Structure
b. Geographical Structure
c. Project based
d. Product based
e. Matrix structure

Key functional areas are those functional departments in


the organization
For eg: Human Resources

Summary of findings, suggestions and conclusion

Mention about 5 to 6 critical positive and negative findings


from the interpretations of the study.
For each negative finding found, give a suitable suggestion
which the company can adapt. Do not recommend anything
There should be a total connectivity and correlation with
your interpretations, findings and the suggestions given
Note. The critical interpretations become the findings and
the findings will have a suggestion accordingly.
Technical Specifications
Typing should be done on one side of the A-4 size paper. 3
hard bound copies of the project need to be produced. Two
in bond sheets and colour print and one in normal A4 size
sheet and B&W print
The left side margin should be 1.75 inches, the right, top
and bottom margin should be 1 inch each.
Font size: Chapter heading: 18; Sub-heading: 14 and text of
the running matter: 12.
Fonts to be used are Times New Roman.
The text of the project should have 1.5 line spacing;
quotations and foot notes should be in single-line space.
Chapter heading should be capitalized and should be kept
at center.
Tables, graphs and diagrams should have respective
number, captions and source.
Header: name of the company in the right corner. No logo
or title of the project to be mentioned.
Footer: EWCM/PPP-I/initials of guide/initials of
students/2019 at the left corner. On the right corner must
be the page number.
Eg: EWCM/PPP-I/DS/AR/2019
Insert an OHP sheet after every chapter and the heading of
the chapter must be put below the OHP
Technical Specifications
i. All pages in main text should carry the Arabic numerals placed on the bottom
at the centre. The Title page, Acknowledgement, Table of contents etc. should
be numbered in lower case Roman numerals.
j The numbering of chapters, divisions and sub-divisions should be done, using
Arabic numerals
only. For example, sub-division 2 under division 4 of chapter 3 should be
numbered as 3.4.2.
k. Table and Figures appearing in the main text should have appropriate
numbers and captions. The third table in Chapter Two, the number of Table
should be assigned as 2.3. Tables and Figures should appear at the centre.
l. Endnotes should be numbered consecutively within each chapter or
throughout the entire report. Citations on the main text should carry the author(s)
name with year, say for example, Sharma (2011) or (Sharma, 2011) as the case
requires. The full reference for the citation should appear in the Bibliography.
Points to be noted
Bibliography: APA format must be followed.
