TOOTH POWDER

The following is the procedure for the preparation of tooth powder suggested by
Dr. Khadar Vali garu to keep our teeth and gums clean, strong and free from
dental problems.

Tooth powder is ready now.

INGREDIENTS (2nd METHOD)

1. Burnt Coconut Shells : 1 kg
2. Sea Salt : as required
3. Cloves : 5

PROCEDURE
The hard shells of the coconut (after using the coconut meat) have to be dried
well in the sun. Clean them and apply coconut oil.
Place a roti grill/ jali on the stove and arrange two or
three of these coconut shells on it in such a way that
they catch fire. Once they catch fire, shift them to an
open area in the house, stack the remaining coconut
shells one over the other on top of the burning shells.
Alternatively coconut shells can be lit directly in the open with the help of
coconut fibre and coconut oil.

Allow the shells to get charred. Sprinkle water over them to prevent them from
turning into ashes.

BIOPHILIANS 2
Break the charred shells into small pieces and dry them in sun for three days.
Activated charcoal is then ready for further
processing. Grind this activated charcoal into fine
powder along with cloves and sea salt. This tooth
powder is fine for adults but as the gums of kids are
soft it better to sieve the powder using a stainless
steel sieve. Sundry this powder for about an hour.

This tooth powder should be stored in a clean and dry glass or ceramic jar.
Stainless steel containers may get corroded on
account of contact with salt in tooth powder. It is
better to avoid them. Never store in plastic
container. Do not use wet spoons to take tooth
powder for use.

Many have a misconception that charcoal powder might stick to their teeth and
turn them black. That isn't true. In fact it helps the teeth to sparkle.

Usually plaque forms over our gums and teeth. Twigs of Neem or Tamarind or
Pongamia Pinnata or Meswak trees may be used at least
twice a week to clean plaque that forms on our teeth
and gums.

By using this tooth powder and the twigs specified oral

and dental health can be maintained with ease.

Caution:

• Please carry out this process in the open air wearing only cotton clothes.

• Also keep a bucket of water close by as a safety measure.

• Put sand under the iron kadai or tawa so that the floor dosent get hot.

IS ACTIVATED CHARCOAL CARCINOGENIC?
EXPLANATION BY DR. KHADAR SIR

Many of us might have a doubt in our minds that activated charcoal is

carcinogenic (cancer causing) which isn't true. The following is the scientific
explanation given by Dr.Khadar Vali sir.
 There are several kinds of coal.
 Tooth powder is made either by burning coconut shells or charcoal obtained
from burnt wood. This is what is called activated charcoal which isn't
harmful.
 The coal (lignite) used for running locomotives or thermal power plants is
harmful and is different from charcoal we use for making tooth powder.
 At times chapatis or rotis get burnt/ charred in the process of roasting them.
This charred carbohydrate is not good for health but not as dangerous as
we assume it to be.
 Cleaning teeth with activated charcoal has been in practice since times
immemorial especially in Bharat. Today the MNCs advertise greatly that
their toothpaste contains activated charcoal and salt making us believe they
are the pioneers.
 Dr. Khadar Vali sir is one scientist who gives advise only after scientific
research and practical experience. We can therefore use tooth powder
made with activated charcoal without any hesitation.

HAIRFALL? EXPLANATION BY DR. KHADAR

Hair loss mainly occurs on account of poor absorption of nutrients. Micro

nutrients such as selenium, copper and zinc are crucial for hair growth and
health. As the food we are taking in is not right, these nutrients are not getting
absorbed adequately in our digestive tract.

The plastic nano particles in water, steroid imbalance in the dairy milk we
consume and so on are playing havoc in our endocrine system. Endocrine
glands produce amazing substances called harmones which regulate and
control the bio chemical processes in our body. However a number of health
issues arise if there is an imbalance in the production of these harmones.

Everything that goes down our throat - right from water we drink to the food we
eat - should not be allowed to get in contact with plastic. The plastic nano
particles coat the inner walls of small intestine where the nutrients absorption
takes place. As a result hydrophilic (water absorbing) walls turn hydrophobic
(water repelling) and lose nutrient absorption capacity.

Only when there is adequate fibre in circulation, the small intestine remains
hydrophilic. Since our five Siridhanya contain fibre in the right proportion, they
have the capability to clean up the epithelial cells in the intestine, the celiac
region and gradually remove the plastic nano particles from the intestine.

This is the reason why hair fall decreases within six months to one year from the
time one starts taking Siridhanya as staple food.

Dr. Khadar Sir has constantly been advising people not to drink milk. Intake of
milk gives rise to harmonal imbalance which in turn leads to several health
issues. Giving up milk will help in gradual restoration of health.

HOW TO USE SOAPNUTS?

 Pound fleshy soap nuts along with the seeds with the help of a pestle and
store them in a dry container. They can be stored for six to seven months.

 Do not remove the seeds as seeds contain

protein which is beneficial for the hair.

 Soak a fistful of pounded soap nuts in

hot water for at least four hours before
use.

 Squeeze the soap nuts a little and boil them for

three to four minutes. Separate the solution from the rind and use it for
washing the hair.

 The rind can be used for cleaning gold

jewellery. Soap nut solution can be used
for washing silk sarees and zari. The left
over rind can be added to compost.

NOTE:

 Soap nuts when used for the first time may irritate the nose and cause
sneezing. Do not panic.

 Do not use soap nuts for infants. They cannot bear the discomfort if the
solution enters their eyes. Bengal gram flour is a good alternative.

TIPS GIVEN BY DR. SARALA GARU FOR HAIR

 Use only wooden combs and not plastic combs.

 Plastic combs generate electro static energy

and cause hair loss.

 Do not apply same kind of oil to hair for a long

time. Castor oil, sesame oil and coconut oil can
be used.

 It is ideal to apply oil to hair at least four to five

hours before taking head bath. Alternatively, apply oil in the night and take
head bath the following morning.

 On a holiday, oil may be applied in the morning and head bath can be taken
in the afternoon. Hair can be washed two to three times a week.

 Avoid application of oil to hair before going out as oily hair attracts more
dust.

 To treat dandruff mix sesame and pongamia oils in the ratio of 95:05, apply
it to hair and leave it overnight. Take head bath the following morning.
Alternatively, apply the oil mentioned above and leave it on hair for four to
five hours before head bath.

 Application of sour curd/ buttermilk to hair half an hour before head bath can
help in getting rid of dandruff.

 To enhance hair growth, apply fenugreek seeds paste half an hour before
taking head bath. To make this paste soak fenugreek seeds overnight and
grind them to paste the following morning.

BIOPHILIANS 8
 A fine of paste of curry leaves/ drumstick leaves/ guava leaves/ hibiscus
leaves can be applied to hair as well. Use one leaf at a time. Head bath can
be taken after a gap of 30 minutes.

 For hair growth apply oil prepared by boiling all the leaves mentioned above
in sesame or coconut oil.

 Sulphur in shallots aids hair growth. Prepare shallots paste and apply it to
hair half an hour before head bath.

 Wash your hair either with soap nuts or shikakai powder.

SIRIDHANYA & KASHAYAMS THAT AID FOR HAIR GROWTH

Kashayams prepared with the leaves mentioned below should be taken along
with Siridhanya as staple food. Only one variety of Kashayam should be taken
per week.

SIRIDHANYA

 Browntop millet 3days

 Foxtail millet 1day
 Kodo millet 1day
 Little millet 1day
 Barnyard millet 1day

KASHAYAMS

TIPS TO AVOID DRY SKIN

 Many people suffer from dry skin. During summer months, air conditioners
and fans are used for long hours. As a result the moisture in our skin
reduces thereby causing dryness of skin. The simplest solution to this
problem is to just place a bucket or a tub of water in the bedroom where we
sleep. This increases the humidity in the room and prevents our skin from
getting dry.

 One of the several causes for snoring is the reduction of moisture in our
lungs. Placing a bucket of water in the bedroom may help in reduction of
snoring problem to a large extent.

 Those who suffer from dry skin, apply oil all over their body. This will have
impact just for two to three hours. The main purpose of oil application is to
prevent evaporation of moisture in the skin. It is therefore ideal to apply oil to
the body immediately after taking bath. Applying oil on dry skin doesn't help.

 If we go out in the morning after applying oil, dust in the air might stick to our
skin. In such a case before going to bed, one must wipe the whole body with
a wet towel and immediately apply oil.

 Sesame oil stays in liquid form in all seasons. It is the best oil for skin as
well as our health.

 Coconut oil solidifies in winter months. Those suffering from dry skin should
not apply coconut oil to their skin.

 Sesame oil is extremely beneficial for those suffering from dry skin,
psoriasis or any skin diseases.
