1.5 Hypotheses
The theoretical framework of the current study is based on the learning styles theory by
Kolb &Kolb,(1984) and Honey and Mumford (1986) and examination anxiety of students. It is
thought that students have considerations while taking an examination. The considerations may
include the fear or uncertainty that a student feels when taking an exam (Harris & Coy, 2003).
More over students have different learning styles. So there may be any relationship between
specific learning style and examination anxiety of students. As test anxiety is a psychological
issue, tests are used as educational assessments that require an examination of learning of
All male and female students studying in public sector schools of Punjab, Pakistan will
constitute the population of study. Data will be collected from secondary level students enrolled
Sample will be collected using multistage sampling technique. Two districts including
Mianwali from northern Punjab and Bhakkar from southern Punjab will be randomly selected.
Out of 244 secondary schools (152 schools for boys having 10265 students and 92 Secondary
schools for Girls with 5165 students)100 schools will be selected through stratified random
400 students (264 boys and 136 girls) will be selected using systematic random sampling
technique(Kothari,2009).

To answer the research questions and hypothesis, data will be gathered by using two
instruments.
