Jolo Fire

In this world we live in were hatred, violence and disasters come into our life
unexpectedly. Last July25, 2018 in Jolo Sulu, a huge fire occurred around 3 pm in the
afternoon at that day. It started nearly 3000 meters away from ARMM’s Regional
Maritime Unit. This fire is the biggest fire since 1974. The fire fighters could not
immediately put off the blaze due to the strong winds and struggled to get through
narrow streets. Due to this fie, many people were forced to stay at temporarily shelter in
schools, gymnasium, and multipurpose building. There are 8 people injured and 2 of
them children. More than 30,000 residents were left homeless, 5,000 families, 3,000
home was gutted by fire. The only thing that I’ve done to help those people who are
victims of the fire incidents is contributing 75 pesos. That 75 pesos helps a lot for very
one because every single thing we’ve shared cost a lot everyone.

Trials are welcome to every one of us. And it is the way of making ourselves
become stronger and be a good person. The more trials we conquer in a good way, we
become stronger than before. In the scripture,” I can do all things though Him who give
strength (Philippians 4:13). It shows us that if we trust our savior our God, we can
conquer everything. Isaiah 41:13, “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your
right hand and says to you, don’t fear, I will help you. There are people who will help
you. And that people is the instrument of our God to help us and the people were we
can lean on. Different trials are risky to make decision because of what will be the result
of it, but we are strong enough to face the consequences of what we’ve one. Psalm
56:3,”When I am afraid, I put my trust it you”. When we are afraid, we will give our trust
our God in order that his holy spirit guides us into the right way in making decision

Anytime we experience trials and happiness, be thankful because it has a good

reason behind it. In good times, we need to thank God for everything He gave to us.
And during bad times, be faithful to Him and trust Him because He gave it with a good
reason. A good reason that makes us realizes of what we’ve done and learns
something from it. And through these circumstances we will become good and better
person.
