Dear Sir,

In response to your letter cited above regarding the subject matter, we are hereby submitting our final
proposal arising out of your three recommended solutions regarding foundation of GIS building. In
accordance with the mentioned point no. 1(a) vide your letter, we have decided to determine the In-situ
soil bearing capacity by plate load test on the sub-strata soil after rubble soling of 600mm thickness,
thus obtaining test surface at EL 97.25m. The test location may be referred from the above cited
approved drawing, wherein the point is marked as PLT1 lying on grid-B in between grid 3 and 4. As per
the soil bearing capacity obtained thereof, the foundation shall be suitably designed and submitted for
your approval. The detailed methodology of rubble soling and plate load test to be adopted is
mentioned in the enclosed method statement and the same is being forwarded to you for your kind
approval.
