Site Visit Report

Sarita Vihar Residence Renovation


Location: Sarita Vihar
Project Type: Residential Renovation Project
Client: Shri Rakesh Garg Ji
About the project:
The client stays in a DDA Flat in Sarita Vihar. The
type of project is Renovation. The client wanted to renovate the
entire house mainly for the interiors and few changes in the
layouts of furniture, some new varieties of designed furniture.
Hence, we as Architects proposed them few designs with
different furniture layouts and also designed furniture for
Drawing Room, Bedroom, Dining Room and Kitchen.
The approach to the client’s house can be from the Sarita
Vihar Metro Station. The Initial plan of the client’s house has the
measurements recorded during the site visit. The report shall Fig. 1 Initial Plan

The above two layouts are the furniture layout of the residence. We gave few options to
the clients regarding the furniture choice, type and arrangement of the entire layout. Both the
drawings have two different arrangements of the sofas in the Drawing Room.

The client’s requirements in each room is listed below:


1. In Drawing Room, the client wanted a completely new built-in cabinets (as shown in Fig.
4a)). The height of the cabinet should be around the ceiling height. The cabinet should
have different compartments with aesthetic looks and a cabinet below the window level.
Also, the layout of the drawing room should be designed in such a way that it has ample
space for circulation and the furniture layout should be arranged in front of the TV unit
on the wall adjacent to it.
2. In Dining Room, The Dining Table should be completely new, the cabinet there should
designed new by us and the Puja cabinet also should be designed accordingly.
3. In Kitchen, the client wanted the new type of designed cabinets such as double-height
wall cabinets, new designed sink and the newer but regular arrangement of kitchen
cabinets with more circulation space as compared to the present kitchen.
4. In Bedrooms, the beds were required to bed designed along with the built-in cabinet and
few interior aesthetics including wall design, tv unit, decorative element, colour scheme
of the furniture and its contrast with the bedroom.
5. In Bathrooms, the client wants new and modern sanitary wares, with beautifully designed
interiors and lighting.

Furniture Designed
The furniture designed are Built-In Cabinets, TV Cabinets, Free standing Cabinets and Kitchen
Cabinets. Few of The Photographs are:
1. Dining Room Cabinet: The client wanted a cabinet in the dining room for storing the
crockery and also as a part of placing decorative items. The cabinet should be in complete
wood work and an innovative design. Few of the photographs of the designed cabinet are
shown below:

2. Drawing Room Cabinet: The client wanted a built-in cabinet in the drawing room of both
of different heights – one till the ceiling and the other till the sill level. Both the cabinets
are simple yet different look in woodwork compared to the other furnitures in woodwork.
These cabinets are designed for storing some important articles and items that the client
wants to store. Few of the photographs of the designed cabinets are shown below:

3. Drawing Room TV Cabinet: The client wanted a TV Cabinet in the drawing room which
could be floor mounted. The cabinet is designed in woodwork and also has horizontal
partitions glass slabs These cabinets are designed for placing some decorative articles
and items that the client wants to store. Few of the photographs of the designed cabinets
are shown below:

4. TV Cabinets Bedroom: The client wanted a TV Cabinets in all the three bedrooms, out of
which, one is be floor mounted and the rest two are wall mounted. The cabinet is
designed in woodwork and has racks for storage. These cabinets are designed for placing
set-top box and other important articles the client wants to store. Few of the photographs
of the designed cabinets are shown below:

Vigyan Lok Residence Renovation
Location: Vigyan Lok, near Anand Vihar Rail Vihar
Project Type: Residential Renovation Project
Client: Shri Virendra Sharma Ji
About the project:
The client has a bungalow in Vigyan Lok. The
type of project is Renovation. The client wanted to
renovate the entire first floor of the residence from
interiors to furniture to doors and windows, sanitary
ware, kitchen and few more additions. His first priority
was kitchen and bathrooms. Hence, we as Architects
proposed them few designs with different furniture
layouts for kitchen and bathrooms.
The approach to the client’s house can be from
the Karkardooma Metro Station. The Initial plan of the
client’s house has the measurements recorded during

the site visit. The report shall include the photographs
and the proposed photographs of the kitchen.
The client wanted to renovate the entire house. The photographs of the house and the
interiors shall give a clear description of the house.

also the wanted a new designed TV unit but on the other side as there is a small window opening
towards the kitchen side.

Proposal given to the client:
The proposals given to the client were basically for the kitchen. Also, the client wanted to
change the front portion of the residence.
