2019 is quickly approaching New Years Eve. There are a lot of activities for our Little
British Cars during the next few months. The biggest is our annual car show on 4-5
October. I hope you have registered your car and will participate.
I contacted Cort Dondero and he confirmed that they will host the an-
nual Christmas party. Specifics will be disseminated later. The party at their home is
always a great treat with a covered dish dinner followed by an exchange of gifts using
"Dirty Santa " rules. Plan to attend for some food and fun.

Saturday August 24, 2019 was the Ninth Annual British car show in Historic Rugby, Ten-
nessee. Road bowling and Amish donuts were the order of the day/weekend. Three cou-
ples from SBCC went up on Friday the 23th, spending the night in bed and breakfast style
lodging. There were a total 47 cars and 4 British motorcycles on the show field.
There were many very beautiful car on the show field. Two cars in particular were owned
by individuals staying at the Grey Gables Bed and Breakfast. Steve and Shirley owned a
beautiful 1991 Morgan Plus 4. They purchased the car in England last August, but only
had it shipped in April to Savannah, GA then drove it to Winchester, KY. The second car
was a 1964 MGB that often comes to our show owned by Dennis and Pat Rainey. These
are friends with Doug and Sandy from California who now live in Fairfield Glades outside
of Crossville, Tn.

Friday night the 20th saw possibly the last Sonic for 2019. Depending on
the weather in October there may be another. Twelve hardy souls of
SBCC made it for food and milkshakes. There was cars present.
As usually there was plenty to discussed and talk about. Members in atten-
dance to discuss the world and local situation were: Dave and
Daina Spears, TR6; Mark Myers, Jag; David and Connie Wright, MGB;
Dave T, MGB; Mike and Teresa, MGB; Ian and Michelle, MGB; Clay and
Jennifer Brooks came in the Model A.
The weather was beautiful and the friends were great. We will have to de-
cide what the October weather looks like at our next meeting.

I did some research on oil drip recovery pans on the internet. I found two that seemed to work. O ne on the left made from a I gal
steel can. The other made from aluminum and bent and sealed . The one from a tin can seamed logical to me. Scott gave me a left
over thinner can and I went to work to make one according to the drawing. Problem was that I have a 5 speed and t would not fit. So
after trimming it I still could not get it to fit properly, So I kind of modified it using the second drawing and came up with the bottom
drawing.
