GRATITUDE IS GREAT

“Some people grumble that roses have thorns; I am

grateful that thorns have roses.” – Alphonse Karr
Gratitude is the quality of being thankful. It is the readiness to show
attitude of appreciation for and thankfulness for the good that we
receive in life. Just imagine one day you wake up and strangers smile
at you, greet you, people hold the door open for you, and you feel
that this world is full of kindness. People are willing to help you
without expecting any return. That would be enough to make
anyone’s day.
The main part about being grateful is that you should not wait for
people to do good to you, instead be the first one to act and express
your thankfulness to them.
Gratitude is helpful at all levels. As a student, we should adopt the
attitude of gratitude towards our teachers who play a very important
role in shaping us and our future. Be grateful to your parents. Don’t
forget to thank them every time they cook a meal for you, solve a
problem or guide you. Don’t forget that you will also become a
parent one day. How you treat your parents will somehow leave an
impact on your relationship between you and your children. Friends
also hold a special place in our heart. We simply cannot live in this
world all by ourselves without friends. Thus, it is important to
express our appreciation toward our friends. Furthermore, we
should be obliged to God to give us a chance to live in this beautiful
world. Pray and thank God daily. The method how you pray does not
really matter, the key is that you are sincere in showing your
gratefulness.

It’s proved that when we express our gratefulness towards other

people, we tend to feel happier and calmer.
Many people have a habit of taking things present in their life for
granted. Imagine losing some of the things that you take for granted,
such as your home, your ability to see or hear, your ability to walk, or
anything that currently gives you comfort. Then imagine getting each
of these things back, one by one, and consider how grateful you
would be for each and every one. You need to start finding joy in the
small things instead of holding out for big achievements.
On reading the biographies of most successful people, we’d find that
they always gratitude to god and everything. To live a life like
successful person, one should adopt the attitude of gratitude in their
life. Start bringing gratitude to your experiences from today itself; in
this way, you’ll be on your way towards becoming a master of
gratitude.
“None is more impoverished than the one who has no
gratitude. Gratitude is a currency that we can mint for
ourselves, and spend without fear of bankruptcy.” – Fred
De Witt Van Amburgh.
