1.Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPTh):4½ Years Degree-
Physiotherapists assess, plan and implement rehabilitative programs that improve or
restore human motor functions, maximize movement ability, relieve pain syndromes,
and treat or prevent physical challenges associated with injuries, diseases and other
impairments. They apply a broad range of physical therapies and techniques and
implement programmes for screening, prevention and treatment of many physical
ailments and disorders.
SCOPE:- Physiotherapy is an essential part of the health and community/welfare
services delivery system. Physiotherapists practice independently of other health
care/service providers and also within multidisciplinary rehabilitation/habilitation

Physiotherapists may also contribute to the development of local, national and

2. Bachelor in Occupational Therapy (BOTh):4½ Years Degree -
Occupational Therapy is a healthrelated profession that deals with therapeutic
management of various neuromuscular, musculoskeletal dysfunctions and mental
disorders including mental retardation. An Occupational therapist is able to assess,
correct or alleviate dysfunctions in terms of human activities. They can help in
rehabilitation of children or persons with locomotors impairments, menta l retardation

3. Bachelor of X-Ray Radiodiagnosis and Technician (BXRT):3 Years

Degree-
Radiography is the science of taking images of the internal parts of the human body
for the purpose of diagnosing diseases and ailments. This includes the use of X-ray,
CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound etc. X-ray Technicians provides images of various body
organs, to understand patient’s health status and provide treatment as needed, They
are also taught how to use radio waves to treat various tumors and other cancerous
ailments.

SCOPE- Government and Private Hospitals, Diagnostic centers, as well as Super
