Ten Signs/Symptoms of Foolishness:

1. Being resentful – Job 5:2 – "Resentment kills a fool, and envy slays the simple."

2. Being easily annoyed – Proverbs 12: 2 – “Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.”

3. Refusing counsel – Proverbs 9:8 – “Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love
you.”

4. Refusing discipline and correction – Proverbs 12:1 – “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates
correction is stupid.”

5. Someone who doesn't volunteer and is only forced to obey God – Psalm 32:9 – “Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.”

6. Being pleased with evil conduct – Proverbs 10:23 – “A fool finds pleasure in wicked schemes, but a person of
understanding delights in wisdom."

7. Spreading slander – Proverbs 10:18 – “Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.”

8. Being reckless – Proverbs 14:16 – “The wise fear the LORD and shun evil, but a fool is hotheaded and yet feels
secure.”

9. Airing opinions freely – Proverbs 18:2 – “Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own
opinions.”

10. Declaring that there’s no God – Psalm 14:1 – The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their
deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.”
