Theme: HOW FAR WILL YOU FOLLOW JESUS?

Text: Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1 NIV)

How many of us here uses the trending expression, SANA ALL? Almost all of us encountered different people and even among ourselves most likely
are using these words today.

Sana All
Is a term that is used by Filipinos to wish for an individual's success to spread to other people, mostly Barkadas

However, are we also seeing ourselves using these words in our Christian Walk?

Can we just stop using these words and put these into reality?
What I mean is, let us have the drive to end all these SANAs and start striving a life that will accomplish what God intended us to do.

But how can we start to live a life accomplishing what God intended us to do?
Before we receive the gift of salvation (eternal life), remember that you prayed to God that you ask for forgiveness for all the sins you have
committed and therefore you want to be changed by God and turn away from evil doings.

That is what we call REPENTANCE. It is rejecting who you are. It is the rejection of a life of sin. To deny self is the very essence of repentance.
After we receive Jesus Christ truly and accepted the gift of salvation He had offered, we are new creation. The old self has gone, the new has come!
Thus, we should put on our new self. We should learn to observe the instructions given to us by God through His very Word. .

1. ATTENTION –
My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your
heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for
hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2: 1-5)
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch
them out of my hand. (John 10: 27-28)
2. RETENTION
Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. (Proverbs 19:20)
Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge, for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you,
if all of them are ready on your lips. (Proverbs 22: 17-18)
3. REPRODUCTION
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22)
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
(Ephesians 2:10)

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will
enter. (Matthew 7:21)

Practice what you preach.

4. MOTIVATION
Whats your motivation to follow Christ?
Everyday, do something that will lead you closer to God.
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if
there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8)
"If you love me, keep my commands. (John 14:15 NIV)
Conclusion:
What is it that we are exhorted to imitate? To know that, we need to identify what was at the core of his life. It was first and foremost that he loved
Jesus Christ above all else. From that premise, he lived and served. It was absolutely not Paul’s intention that there should be a just few “heroes” – a
few special people with a special life and a special ministry – while everyone else was just a “regular Christian.” When he was in prison he wrote a
letter to the church in Philippi. There he described, among other things, the core of his life, “my earnest expectation and hope that … Christ will be
magnified in my body.” Philippians 1:20. Here we can learn from him and follow him!
