replacement
Replace your old pump with a new one from Grundfos.

The Grundfos Product Center makes it easy to replace an

old pump from most common suppliers, with a new,
energy efficient Grundfos pump.

To replace a pump, click REPLACEMENT on the home page

of the Grundfos Product Center, and enter the name of
your old pump in the Quick Search field.

11
If you prefer, you can enter the pump’s
name and other data in the Classic
Search field instead.

In the Classic Search field, the

“Your requirements”, “Fluid”, “Lifecycle costs”
and “Hit list settings” (evaluation criteria)
provide additional filtering options.

12
If you want to replace an old pump
with a newer, more modern pump,
you’ll find the name of your old
pump on the pump’s nameplate.

Simply enter it in the Replacement

search field, and the Product Center
will find the best replacement option
for you.

Your replacement pump will be

displayed along with relevant
technical details and information
about the pump’s energy consump-
tion and total lifecycle costs.

Where available, the Product Center

will display three replacement pump
options for you to choose among.

The options are:

• The lowest purchase price
• The lowest energy consumption
• The lowest total lifecycle costs

SPARE PARTS
AND SERVICE KITS
Grundfos offers original spare parts and service kits
for many products. Whenever a spare part or service kit is
available for a pump, you’ll find it on the pump’s product
page in the Grundfos Product Center.

21
What’s the difference between a spare part
and a service kit?

At Grundfos, spare parts are distinct replacement

components, such as a seal, that can be changed
individually. By contrast, a service kit is a collection of
components that should be replaced all at the same
time to ensure optimal functioning of the pump.

So spare parts are single units, and service kits are

groups of spare parts.

Pump seal (spare part).

Gasket kit (service kit).

Locating spare parts and service kits

Say a pump you’ve installed is in need of a new

shaft seal. To find the correct replacement seal,
you first need to locate your specific pump.

The easiest way to do this is to enter your

pump’s product number or name in the large
search field at the top of the Product Center
home page.

22
Once you’ve arrived at your pump’s product page, click the Spare Parts tab to the left of the performance curves.

23
To see spare parts and service kits
available for your part, click the blue
“Valid from” link beneath “Service
parts”, and a list of available parts
and kits will appear. If you see
multiple “Valid from” dates, find the
week code on your pump’s name-
plate and select the corresponding
“Valid from” date.

NB: The “Parts list” link or links

beneath the “Service parts” list
shows all the parts that comprise
your pump, making it easy to
identify any standard component
you might need to replace, but are
not available from Grundfos.

24
Click your part or service kit to
reveal its product number in the
grey box to the right of the list.

Note the part number for your seal.

projects
The Grundfos Product Center not only lets you find all the information you
need about any Grundfos pump. It also lets you collect multiple products into
groups, called “projects”.

Grundfos projects are particularly useful in the design and tendering stages of
a larger implementation.

You can create a project and

• Add all the pumps you plan to use in the implementation

• Edit the project as your plans evolve
• Share your project with others – even assigning project editing
rights if you wish
• Store, print or email all applicable data about your pumps
for use in tendering – all collected in a single PDF file

Please note that to access Projects functionality, you must be signed in to the Product Center as a registered user.

28
Create a project

To create your first project,

select “Your projects” from the
top menu bar and click “See all
projects”.

Now click the green

“Add a new project” button.

29
When prompted, choose a name
for your project – and the new
empty project will appear on its
own “Project details” page.

To add a pump to your project, you’ll need to go to the

pump’s product page.

• Click the “Add to…” button at the top right, and ...

... you will then be prompted to select which project

the pump will be added to.

30
Repeat this process for all
the pumps you’d like to add
to your project.

Once you’ve created a project,

you can access it in different
ways. You can always access
specific projects from the Product
Center home page, under
“your items”.

For more options, select “Your

projects” from the top menu
bar.

There, you’ll be able to see your

recently updated projects.

31
Open a particular project or view
all your projects – including those
you have archived, and that do not
appear under “Saved items” on
the home page.

If you select “See all projects”,

you’ll be taken to the main “Your
projects” page, where you can
add, duplicate, delete, archive and
un-archive projects.

If you select a particular project you

will be taken to a “Project details”
page, where you can work with the
project in question.

32
The “Project details” page contains
some general information and basic
functions at the top and a number of
more advanced functions under the
“Products”, “Project details” and
“Timeline” tabs.

The “Products” tab displays all the

pumps in your project, and lets you
sort and delete pumps, and access the
product page for each pump.

33
The “Project details” tab provides more
detailed editing functions – including the
ability to create additional users for
collaborating on projects.

For more information about the project, see

page 36.

Under the “Timeline” tab, you can add and

remove notes, along with adding “snapshots”
of your project to record its progress towards
finalisation.

34
Once you have finalised your project, click
“Print / PDF” on the “Project details” page
for a PDF document containing all relevant
information about the pumps in your project.

This is particularly useful for preparing

tenders, as it can gather all required data
about the pumps in your project in a single
document for storing, printing or emailing.

Collaborating on projects

Projects are a great way of designing a

larger installation containing many pumps,
and collecting all your pump-related
documentation in a single PDF file.

But what if you’d like input from a colleague

or a Grundfos representative on the particular
project you’ve designed?

That’s what the “Add user” function is all

about.

To share a project with another Product

Center user, first go to the project you’d like

under “Users with viewing rights”.

The users you add to your project will be

information about the pumps in the project,

you can.

about Grundfos pumps.

This information can include:

• Quotation text
• Data sheets

The Project function lets you create groups of pumps, along with any available
documentation for each pump.

you can create a PDF containing the
exact documentation you need for all
pumps in the project.

Doing so can save you time and hassle

when sharing information and prepar-
ing tenders.

To create a PDF, click the PDF / PRINT

button at the top of your project page.

39
This opens a large dialog box, where you can choose
exactly the information you’d like your document to
include for all pumps.

The PRINT / PDF dialog box contains three tabs:

documentation you want to include in your PDF
– from technical specs to wiring diagrams.
