Narrative Report on Career Guidance Week
In Camanjac National High School
Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 25 s. 2013, Camanjac National High School Senior High
department celebrated the annual Career Guidance Week.

One of the most unforgettable weeks in the lives of Camanjac National Senior High School students
transpired last July 22-26, 2019. This week is intended to celebrate the annual Career Guidance Week.
It may not be as big as other school activities which are always filled with jumped pact students and
banderas all over the school, but it could be considered a meaningful matter for the students as this
provides an avenue for the students dreams to be heard and inspired more for this future.

Camanjac National High School is composed of Junior and Senior High Department. The Senior high
School has two grade levels, namely, Grade 11-Analyst and Grade 12- Achievers. This first day is
celebrated thru a small gathering where all senior high school students and teachers were convened
for an Opening Program in the morning. The highlight of the said program was the announcement of
the Career Guidance Week Celebration, its Rationale, and the presentation of the Matrix of Activities
to be participated by all Senior High students.

Miss Jennifer Ablay, Guidance Designate of Senior High School, welcomes everyone with a
challenge of “Making dreams into reality”.

Below is the Matrix of Activities of Senior High for the Guidance Week

The second day was the “Career Pictorial” where Grade 11 students were busy taking pictures of
themselves, wearing the uniforms of their future profession. An “Essay Writing” was done in the
afternoon where they have to write their success stories assuming they had finished their chosen
degrees and successfully landed on their profession. It is merely a write-up of their dreams which
become a reality 10 years after Senior High.

Above are the Grade 11-Analyst Pictorials on their Future Profession Uniform
Day 3 was scheduled of a “Testimonial Dinner” of Grade 11. In this gathering, students acted
out as if they were already professionals. Here, students reminisced what they had written on their
essay way back 10 years after Senior High. Select students were asked to make testimonials where
they can narrate their success and even failures in achieving what they have become/achieved. It was
calm and quite moment for Grade 11 as they listened to the success stories of their classmates. It is
noticeable that everyone seemed to be inspired by their classmates’ stories. The activity started with a
short program whom Mrs. Jennifer R. Ablay, Senior High Career Guidance Advocate, welcomed all with
the greetings of success, setting the minds of students as if they were in year 2029; that is 10 years
after from their Senior High Years. She ended with sweet smiles from the participants fulfilled with so
many desires that their dreams could become a reality.

Below are pictures of select Grade 11-Analyst during their Testimonial Dinner with their
Testimonial Speeches
Day 4 is scheduled for “Inspiration Talks.” Speakers from “The Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of
Ragusa” inspired Grade 11 students thru sharing inspiring and delighting stories of how to be
stewardess of God. Sharing their noble experiences in their vocation as nuns made the girls of Senior
High think and reflect more if they too have the same Calling.

Started the program with Invocation

Heart of Jesus of Ragusa right after the Program.

Sisters on the Move. Sharing their hearts on their Calling….

Day 5 was quite a challenge for the Grade 12- Achievers as they were exposed on the reality before
landing a job such as seeking for jobs, writing resume and application letter and undergoing interviews.
Miss Mechell B. Ramirez, an English Teacher of Camanjac National High School, shared some tips on
Writing a Resume and a workshop follows. She emphasized the don’ts and dos and the effective ways
of making resume. This is an avenue where students craft their own resume, following the tips
discussed. Although it was quite hard, everyone was able to make and present their own resume.

Mock interviews transpired in the afternoon. In this activity, students were interviewed by all Senior
High Teachers where teachers and students played as employers and applicants, respectively. This was
a nerve-breaking task as described by the Grade 12 students since this is their first time and other
contributing factors such as inability to speak the language, poor reasoning skill, low self-esteem, etc.
made this activity harder. However, it was a fun-filled and very informative experience, and students
were grateful enough by this opportunity.

Capturing the moments Mock Interviews

The week started with a blast and ended with a boom. It was indeed a roller coaster ride for the Senior
High School students. Varied activities brought a lot of pressure to many as it all emerged for just a
week, but there were several valuable moments and experiences which bring life lessons and skills.
Yes, tiring as it might be, but the memories and learning would forever be considered as gem, worth to
be treasured for a lifetime.
