Introduction

The IJMSCAT Cadet Corps is an organization established in line with the implementation
of the Citizenship Advancement Training (CAT) Program. It is one of the school’s best
organization having the richest and most colorful history, most exciting activities, most
efficient leadership structure, time honored traditions, highest standards and the
superb capability to implement worthwhile community service projects.
IJMSCAT Cadet officers Corps is designed to teach High School Students the value of
citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of
accomplishments, while instilling in them self-esteem, team work and self-discipline. Its
focus is reflected in the mission statement. “To develop informed and responsible
citizens” it prepares high school students for responsible leadership while making them
aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as Filipino citizens. The program
provides instruction and rewarding opportunities that will benefit the student,
community, and nation.
It is an ideal venue for leadership development through its rigorous training requiring
both physical and mental skills, as well as application of values necessary for character
formation.
It is a corps of well-trained cadet Officers who continuously develop their leadership
skills as they encounter different situations that will test their abilities in accomplishing
the IJMSCAT mission and objectives.
For actively joining the IJMSCAT Cadet Officers Corps, the biggest benefit to be gained is
growth and development into better, informed and more responsible citizens

Cadet Officers Corps. You have indeed chosen to learn and live by a higher standard of
excellence when you became an IJMSCAT Cadet Officer. You have decided to challenge yourself
and be the very best. Welcome to this outstanding program that trains “leaders today for
tomorrow”.
You should be made aware of the direct impact IJMSCAT program has upon your
development as a productive citizen in our society. This impact is positive and long term. The
learning experiences provided by this program support the mission of the Infant Jesus
Montessori School.
Welcome to the IJMSCAT Cadet Officers Corps. You will experience a unique course of
instruction that will be educational, motivational and rewarding. Many of you will get to do
things that others can only imagine. Your experiences are the foundation for life-long memories
and close friendships. We sincerely believe you will benefit from the teamwork, self-discipline
and leadership experiences you encounter.
I am sure most students and parents have questions about IJMSCAT Cadet Officers Corp.
It is an organization that will help you develop decision-making and communication skills while
building self-confidence as a leader. If you have never been in charge or responsible for
anything, get ready—the opportunities are here! While our program will be challenging and
demanding, we believe you will experience a sense of accomplishment and pride hard to put
into words.
This manual is your guiding light. All cadets must have a complete and clear
understanding of the requirements, standards and policies prescribed for them. While the
manual is directive in nature, the final word on any issue rest with the principal and the
commandant. I urge your parents to read this manual in order to gain valuable insight into
IJMSCAT. The material covers information that will answer a lot of their questions.
