Statement of the Problem

The purpose of this study was to examine the types of misconceptions of grade 7 students in
Asian History in relation to academic performance in Social Studies in San Pablo City National High
School.

Specifically, it sought answers to the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:

1.1. Gender;

1.2. school last attended;

1.3. place of birth;

1. 4. Religion;

1.5. parent’s educational attainment;

1.6. parent’s occupation; and

1.7. significant others?

2. What is the perceived level of the students’ misconceptions in terms of the following:

2.1 preconceived notions;

2.2. non-scientific beliefs;

2.3. conceptual misunderstandings;

2.4. vernacular misconceptions; and

2.5. factual misconceptions?

3. What is the level of student’s knowledge performance in Asian History as to:

3.1. recall;

3.2. understanding; and

3.3. analysis?
4. Is there a significant relationship between person-related information and knowledge performance in
Asian History?

5. Is there a significant relationship between students’ perceived lecel of misconceptions in Asian History
and person-related information?

6. Is there a significant difference in the perceived misconceptions of students in learning Asian History
in terms of:

6.1. preconceived notions;

6.2. non-scientific beliefs;

6.3. conceptual misunderstandings;

6.4. vernacular misconceptions; and

6.5. factual misconceptions?

7. Is the knowledge performance of the students in Asian History significantly differs with the perceived
level of misconceptions?

Statement of the Problem

The study aimed to determine the acceptability of Sleeping Garment Module in Teaching
Technology and livelihood Education and the level of Student Learning Competencies in Dressmaking at
San Pablo City National High School.

The study sought to answer the following questions:
