Aviat Networks supports its telecommunications systems with a comprehensive, cost-effective customer-
training and certification program. Our instructors provide courses in microwave radio, light-wave, multiplex
system operation designed to maximize product performance and minimize maintenance costs. Wide
varieties of courses are available and may address generic as well as proprietary telecommunications subjects
related to our equipment.
In addition, we supply microwave system design and transmission engineering training. Instructors use a
variety of presentation techniques and materials in courses from introductory seminars to detailed hands-on
product training.
Our staff combines years of experience in the field and classroom training from hundreds of companies around
the world on the full spectrum of our products and services. The customer education program is designed to
give customers the knowledge and skills to maintain and operate their systems at peak operating efficiency.
Training can be conducted in several languages, including English, Spanish, Chinese, French, Portuguese and
Russian. Interpreters are used as required. Training in other languages may be arranged to meet your needs.
We can provide customized training to meet your needs. Classes can be provided at facilities worldwide or at
your location.
Over 50,000 people have been trained and over 30 different courses are offered covering the full spectrum of
Aviat Networks products and another manufacturer’s equipment.
The trainers shall be experienced and shall have a thorough knowledge of the subjects taught.
In case where other specialized subjects are to be discussed, advice from other experts shall be readily
available during the courses.
LANGUAGE
The training courses shall be conducted in the English language. All trainers shall have fluent spoken and
written command of the English language. Upon request Instruction in Chinese, French, Portuguese,
Russian or Spanish—may be arrange.

Hands-on training shall complement all theoretical lessons for all parts of the purchased product.

Training Policy
1. Prices for all Training Courses and Services are in USD unless noted otherwise.
2. Class size will be limited to 10 students maximum. Larger class sizes will result in
additional charges.
3. Training Documentation:
Aviat Networks provides electronic (soft copy) versions of all material required during the training
course. If hard copy versions of the training material are required then there will be an additional
charge for these versions. All training material is copyrighted and cannot be reproduced or
distributed.
4. Courses are written and delivered in English. French and Spanish are available upon
request at no additional charge. Other languages can be considered but there will be an
additional charge for the material and the delivery of the training.
5. A method of payment (Purchase Order, Credit Card, or Wire Transfer) is required to
confirm registration.
6. Pre-schedule/Open Enrollment Class:
• Scheduled according to web calendar.
• All pre-scheduled / open enrollment classes can be canceled or postponed at the discretion of
Aviat Networks. Every effort will be made to notify students within 3 weeks of course start
date.
9. All Quoted prices are valid for a period of ninety (90) days.
10. Cancellation Terms
• A cancellation fee of 30% will be applied if a customer cancels a class or reservation within 2
weeks of the scheduled start date.
• A cancellation fee of 50% will be applied if a customer cancels a class or reservation within 1
week of the scheduled start date.

Description
The Aviat Certified Expert (ACE) is for individuals who will oversee the complete design, configuration, installation and
deployment of projects involving Aviat products and microwave and IP/MPLS technologies.
These individuals need detailed knowledge of installation, configuration, maintenance and ongoing troubleshooting for the
Aviat Networks products involved. The Microwave Switching track focuses on the Layer 2 or Layer 3 features within the
technologies involved.
Students who choose to complete the ACE certification must complete all training on Eclipse, CTR and WTM products, by
completing the training and the respective exam. Ideally, we recommend that training be completed on all relevant
products involved in their projects while certification exam may be limited to only one exam. On successful completion of
all ACOS certifications, student will be certified as Aviat Certified Expert (ACE).

This certification is intended for individuals requiring knowledge and assessment of how to install, operate and maintain
the Aviat CTR, Eclipse, WTM platform and related radio equipment.

developing skills required for installing Aviat equipment. This certification is a specialized track targeted at
installers working with Aviat products and builds on the foundational product knowledge provided by the pre-

Course Description
The Basic Networking and IP Routing Overview course is for field and operations persons who are involved

Building a strong foundation of basic networking, switching and routing concepts is key to a successful career in the
converged microwave and IP routing technology space. Aviat customers who have expertise in microwave and RF
technology now have a course that can get them up to speed on IP technologies.
The Basic Networking and IP Routing instructor-led course will take the student step-by-step through basics of
networking, explaining functions of hubs, switches, VLANs, routers and related protocols and standards. Students will
be able to engage in performing basic networking configuration and troubleshooting tasks with a new level of
