Instructions
The Dust Encapsulation option has been designed to alleviate the venting to atmosphere
of nuisance dust from the around the feed hopper area of the crusher. The amount of dust
emitted by the crusher during operation is very minimal, however during times of
operating the crusher with low or no feed, dust can at times be a problem. Also dust
caused by dry and dusty material falling from height into the feed hopper can be a
nuisance in certain applications.
The Dust Encapsulation Kit has been designed to work in conjunction with industry
standard rubber grip clamping strips. This type of fixing makes for easy removal
(and re-fitting) of the rubber protection during times of crusher maintenance.
The rubber sheeting and grip strip is not supplied as it is envisaged that the customer will
supply and size this to fit his own unique installation. However, both the rubber sheet and
grip strip can be purchased from Sandvik.
The kits can be retro-fitted to all crushers and are held in place by a simple locking
wedge mechanism.
A range of Dust Encapsulation Kits have been introduced, that cover the complete range
of Sandvik VSI crushers.
