1.1 Equipment information

Purpose
The purpose of this Sandvik equipment is to prevent the crusher inspection
door from opening while the power is on and the rotor is still rotating.
Sandvik SRP AB will not accept any liability for damage to equipment or
injury to personnel caused by unauthorized or improper use or modification

This section describes how to install the unmounted components of the
mechanical safety lock.

2.1 Installation of electrical isolator lever lock

The lock is meant to be installed in conjunction with the electrical control
panel. The purpose of the lock is to secure that the electrical isolator lever is
switched off and cannot be switched on whilst the crusher inspection door is
open.
Follow instructions below to install the lock:

a) Keep dimensions (A) and (B) to minimum.

b) Control the position (1) of the lock when deadlock bolt is fully retracted.
c) Drill two holes through panel door.
d) Bolt lock with correct quantity of packers suitable for your lever.

This section describes how to operate the mechanical safety lock in order to
open the crusher inspection door in a secure and safe way.

3.1 How to isolate panel and gain access to

crusher inspection door
Electrical isolator lever lock
a) Switch the control panel isolator lever to off.

b) Extend the deadlock bolt from its retracted position.

c) Turn key (D) anti-clockwise to lock the bolt.

d) Remove key (D).

e) Insert key (D) into the time delay unit.

f) Turn key (D) fully anti-clockwise to set timer and trap key.

g) After a preset period of time the time delay indicator (1) will change
from red to white. Turn the lower key (C) anti-clockwise to release.

h) Remove key (C).

i) Take key (C) to crusher inspection door and insert into inspection
doorlock.

j) Turn key (C) clockwise to release the spring loaded bolt and trap the key.

The crusher inspection door can now be opened.

3.2 How to restart the crusher

a) Close the crusher inspection door and refit the safety pin.

b) Insert spring loaded bolt into crusher inspection doorlock
c) Turn key (C) anti-clockwise to lock spring loaded bolt in place.

d) Remove key (C).

f) Turn key (C) clockwise to lock key in time delay unit.

g) Turn key (D) clockwise.Time delay indicator will then return to red.

h) Remove key (D) from time delay unit.

i) Insert key (D) into the control panel deadlock.

j) Turn key (D) clockwise.

k) Retract the deadlock bolt with the key trapped.

l) Move the control panel isolator lever to on.

The crusher can now be started.
