EXPLORE
 Ask the class to carry out the activities under Get started ( see page 272)
 Let the share their works afterwards.
 Start the lesson by conducting news reporting of current global health issues.
 Conduct a healthy discussion of the issues
 Make a list of the issues presented on the board
FIRM UP
 Divide the class into four groups.Each group should present a skit about the situation that will
be assigned to them.
Group 1- Dalawang magkasintahang magkahiwalay
Group 2- Pagsiwalat ng katiwalian sa Gobyerno
Group 3- Paghikayat sa mga tao para sa pagbabago
Group 4- Pamamaalam sa baying sinilangan
 Let them informed that the lines or their dialogue should not be spoken but sung. They will be
given at least 3 minutes to present it in class.

DEEPEN
 Have the class watch excerpts from the operas of La Loba Negra and Noli Me Tangere, (the
opera)
 Let them analyze the musicality of the operas using the table below.

PERFORMANCE TASK
 Divide the class into two groups.
 Let each group present an excerpt from the operas, La Loba Negra and Noli Me Tangere.
Allow them to use their phones for music.
Group 1- La Loba Negra
Group 2- Noli Me Tangere
 Give them time to practice their presentations.
 They will be graded according to the following mechanics.
