This document is a model instrument of accession for states to formally declare their accession to the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks, 2007. It acknowledges that the convention was adopted in Nairobi in 2007 and that the signing state is entitled to become a party. It then formally declares the state's accession to the convention and is signed by the relevant head of state or minister. Optionally, it can also declare the extension of the convention's application to wrecks located within the state's territory.

WHEREAS the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks, 2007, was adopted at Nairobi on 18 May 2007 by the International Conference on the Removal of Wrecks,
