CLASS GUIDELINES

1. You are allowed to be ABSENT for only 20% of the total contact hours. When reached,you are subject to be
dropped from the subject.

2. ABSENT IS ABSENT. Thus, you miss the score and will not have a chance to take it again when you come in
class the next day. Even if you have sent an excuse letter, you will not be excused in quizzes and performances
unless:

a. you are seriously sick (provide medical certificate or equivalent);

b. attending OFFICIAL SCHOOL activities outside or in the campus (contest, presentations, parade).
excused individuals will gain the highest score during the quiz or performance missed.

3. Eating is okay in my class. If you would like to eat something , do it discreetly without catching everyone's
attention.

4. DepEd order no. 83 series of 2003 , cellphone is STRICTLY BANNED during classes hours unless instructed.
Those who will be caught, will be reprimanded and will have to turn over their cellphones either to subject
teacher/adviser/guidance counselor and will be able to retrieve it only after 24 hours.

5. SCHOOL ACTIVITIES that are requiring table skirting,helping in food preparation, food serving, dish washing,
and ANYTHING RELATED TO FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES will SERVE as 100-POINT
PRACTICUM (equivalent of two (2) performances.
6. ALWAYS WEAR UNIFORM DURING CLASSES AND LABORATORY, no uniform means absent and will not be
allowed to join the practicum.

A. For Banquet Service Uniform:

Male: white long sleeve, black pants, bowtie black shoes with black socks./ standard senior high school
uniform.

Female: long sleeve,black skirt, scarf, black shoes with black stockings/ standard senior high school uniform.

Light make up (WILL BE CHECKED STRICTLY)

B. Food Prep Uniform:

Both male and female: chef's apparel, toque, black pants,rubberized shoes.

7. After activities/performances, each group will be required to submit a soft copy of a narrative report with
pictures as means of verification. (will serve as performance 50 pts.)

8. Submit your assignment and projects on time. Assignments and projects submitted late will be marked 75% of
20 and 50 points respectively, even if the both are outstanding.

9 .Cheating, is a serious offense, once caught, s/he will automatically be rated with 0% in that particular
quiz/exam. Accomplish will be equally treated as such.

10. Finaloutput will be a simulation of a weeding reception with a buffet service of a 5-course meal which is
equivalent of 3 performances (150 points).
