RESEARCH PLAN

A. Questions or Problems Being Addressed

We all know that an assistive dishwashing device is a machine designed to make

the lives of people easier. This machine will help people wash their dishes easier and

faster. Lots of people today are always getting tired of doing their household chores

everyday and also many parents are getting stressed after work. It's hard to wash

dishes by bare hands and sponge but with this machine we can make their work lighter,

faster and easier.

As we know that growing numbers of people nowadays are being stressed after

working but they should eat to rejuvenate themselves some energy and they should

also wash dishes and glasses after eating. Of course when you eat you should clean

some utensils to maintain a healthy lifestyle and a proper hygiene. Cleaning these

things will just make you tired and stressed because of the repeating muscular

movements. In order to cut off the problems the researchers invented a prototype that

can give assistance to exhausted parents and workers. Being always exhausted and

weary can lead you to a bad lifestyle, not healthy state and can sometimes cause

fatigue.
B. Goals/Expected Outcomes/Hypothesis

1. Goals

A) To reduce the time in handling dishes or dishwashing.

B) To study the basic assemble dishwasher robot.

C) To help those people that has have disabilities, injuries, and stressed.

D) To have an alternative dishwashing machine.

2. Expected Outcomes

A) Expecting that this study will wash dishes cleanly and shiny.

B) Expecting that this study will perform well without malfunctioning.

C) Expecting that this study will help users not feel cramps and other muscular

indisposition.

3. Hypothesis

A) Null Hypothesis - There is no time difference in dishwashing without the

assistive aid of this device compared in dishwashing with the assistance of this

prototype.

B) Alternative Hypothesis - There is a time difference in dishwashing without the

assistive aid of this device compared in dishwashing with the assistance of this

prototype.
C. Materials and Methods

Materials:

 2 Pieces of DC Motors

 Wires

 Alligator Clips

 Small Jar

 2 Pieces of 3.7 Volts Rechargeable Batteries

 Battery Charger

 Round Sponge

 Roller Brush

 Electrical Tape

 Lead Wires

 Glue Stick and Super Glue

Tools:

 Scissors

 Glue Gun

 Soldering Iron

 Cutter

Safety Gears:

 Gloves

 Goggles
Methods or Procedures:

Before starting the researchers must wear safety gears and ask for parental

support or ask for an expert/specialist.

Making the waterproof case:

Prepare a small jar and make sure that it can be sealed tightly without water

penetrating in to it. Using a cutter, cut small holes on the opposing sides of the jar

about (cm) in diameter where the spinning part of the motor will be inserted and trim 2

square-shaped openings that measures (cm) in width and (cm) in length for the

switches.

Operating the circuit:

Basically this device will be using two different and separate series connections.

First, connect 2 pairs of alligator clips into 2 different pairs of wires also and make sure

that they aren't too long. Next, put switches to the first and second pair. Then, connect

those pairs to 2 different pieces of 3.7 volts of rechargeable batteries. Lastly, attach the

linked wires and batteries to its allocated DC motors.

Assembling the finished circuit and the waterproof case:

Insert the following components to their designated holes and openings. After

that fasten them using adhesives like tape and glue. Next, melt lead wires using the

soldering iron to link electrical connections and to avoid them from rips and slits. Then,

coat the jar using electrical tape so it will be secured from water getting into it. Finally,

attach the sponges to the spinning rotor and make sure they are sealed tightly with the

help of super glue and glue stick.
