4th Learning Action Cell (LAC) and


Culminating Activity for Teachers
Theme: “Think, See and Know”
March 4, 2019

The Senior High School faculty members gathered at the TVL-H.E room at

around 1:00 in the afternoon for the fourth day of the Learning Action Cell (LAC)

and culminating activity. The program started with a prayer led by Mrs. Eleonor P.

Quintana. It was followed by the nationalistic song “Bayan Ko” conducted by Ms.

Monica P. Bergado and the cooperative pledge. The Mapeh

Department invigorated the teachers with a dance titled, “kiss me, kiss me”. The

dance revitalized the teachers and got them ready for the day.

The speaker, Ms. Anabelle Espino, a representative of Quezon City Union of

Cooperatives gave a brief background about their organization. She talked about the

objectives and functions of the cooperative. To immerse the teachers about the

positions and functions of the cooperative officers and its members, the speaker

asked each department to create their own cooperative organizational chart and have

them explain the structure they created. All the departments actively participated in

the activity and come up with their own organizational structure.


Ms. Espino continued to talk about the cooperative’s objectives and

importance.

The morning session concluded at 11:30 am.

Parallel sessions will be done by the Faculty in preparation for their strategies,

activities, lesson logs the whole year round. Thus, HSNHS held its 1st LAC session

last August 24, 2018 with the theme: “Improving Proper Documentation and

Consolidation.”

The 1st LAC session of Holy Spirit National High School faculty and staff for

the S. Y. 2018- 2019 was held at TVL-HE room. The training was started at 12:30

o’clock in the afternoon with a simple prayer headed by Mr. Ryan Ric E. Mary

followed by the Nationalistic Song led by Ms. Armie I. Bacano. Mr. Noel S. Favila,

our dynamic and passionate officer in-charge gave an overview of the session. While

Mrs. Salvacion D. Tepace introduced our distinguished speaker and provided an

overview of the topic to be discussed. The topic revolved around the assessment and

grading system under K to 12 curriculum.

Mr. Jeoff M. Borja talk about efficient consolidation of Item Analysis,

Standard Deviation, Frequency of Error and Correct Response, and Item Analysis

Corrector. Mr. Borja asked the teachers to identify their difficulties in preparing and

accomplishing of the Item Analysis. Different forms that needs to be submitted and

be verified by the teachers and the assigned registrar together with the consolidation

of the Guidance Counselor. He distributed a checklist, which each participant needed

to accomplish. The faculty agreed on the uniformity of each School Forms which
will be submitted by the end of each Semester. The speaker ended his discussion in

encouraging each participant to be organize and submit their grades on time.

Before the next set of speakers delivered their talk, Mr. Alvin C. Fuertes

Senior High School teacher gave an energizer.

The most awaited part of the program has finally come—the awarding of

certificates of participation and recognition to all the participants and demonstrators.

We formally ended the LAC session with a closing statement from Mrs. Salvacion

D. Tepace leaving us with a quotation “Who dares to teach must never cease to

learn”. It was indeed a successful LAC session for all the teachers of Holy Spirit

National High School.
