It is about how Huawei’s handset sales slumped/ slashed because of the U.S

3.How Huawei has been affected by the US policy? How have the future

The US policy has greatly affected Huawei. Most obviously, it causes huge
losses for Huawei’s sales, which is hurting its bottom line. The U.S. sanctions
to curtail the company’s revenue by about $30 billion over the coming two
years.; there will be 40 percent drop in overseas smartphone sales.

As US stop selling softwares or chips to Huawei and without access to popular


apps like GG Maps, Instagram, Huawei smartphones become a lot less
attractive to international consumers. It this ban prolongs for a long time, global
business will be affected.

Yes, I have heardabout it before. It was a news from online newspaper,


Vietnamnet, which said that Vietnam is piloting 5G at some areas and if it is
successful, the government and tech companies will soon apply it.

6. Does it change the way you think or perceive 5G? If you are an investor,
will you invest in 5G network? Please explain your choice.

No, not at all. Undoutedly, 5G is much better than 4G and offers people more
convienience. Supposing I am an investor, I absolutely invest in 5G network for
reasons. 5G will create basic changes in many vertical industries, including
smart factories, transport, healthcare, agriculture and smart cities.
5G also creates a new industry that produces thousands of billions of devices, as
well as activates innovation in almost every industry and creates unlimited
connectivity for all.

Google and Temasek estimated that Vietnam’s digital economy, which had
value of$3 billion in 2015 and $9 billion in 2018, will be valued at $30 billion
by 2025.
