CONTENTS
PROJECT TITLE

An investigation to determine whether or not time spent being served for lunch and recess affects
punctuality to classes.
PURPOSE OF PROJECT

The students of Eleven (11) Agriculture Science would like to be aware of the effects of being
served at President’s College school’s canteen and the school’s dining hall in terms of
punctuality of attending classes. The aim of this project is to determine whether it would be less
time consuming for the students to just sit at the canteen instead of being part of a queue to
receive food at the dining hall during the lunch period and how this decision would affect the
time of arriving to classes directly after this interval at the required time stated. Not only is the
lunch period investigated but also the time taken to be served at the canteen during the school’s
recess intervals.
Variables:
 Duration of time taken to be served by the school’s canteen and dining hall.
 Punctuality of attending classes.
METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION

Data was obtained using the interview method.

An interview was conducted among a total of thirty (30) random students of President’s College
on the (date after survey), regarding the impacts of the time taken to be served at the canteen and
the dining hall on their punctuality of arriving the upcoming class at the required time.
The following questions were asked:
1) Does being served at the canteen during recess/break cause you to be late for your next
class? If yes state, the time in minutes of how late you usually are for your class.

2) Does being served at the canteen during lunch period cause you to be late for your next
