Basics of Special Theory

Who should attend

B.Sc and M.Sc students, Physics teachers teaching at UG/PG level, People interested in
Relativity having Physics/Maths background.

Schedule
Three lectures will be released every week, generally one on each Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday. The lectures can be viewed any time during the course duration. Four multiple
choice quizzes will be held for evaluation.

Certificates
Certificates will be issued by the Centre for Development of Technical Education,
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Two kinds of certificates will be issued to the
qualifying students based on their involvement and performance.
Ÿ Competency Certificate
This will be given to the participants who would have viewed at least 90% of the lectures
and scored a minimum percentage in the quizzes. The minimum percentage for the
quizzes will be decided by the course instructor after the examinations.
Ÿ Participation Certificate
This will be given to the participants who would have viewed at least 90% of the
lectures.
