VIBHA/VVM 2019/MOCK-1-COM LET/1 15-10-2019

Dear Student,

Congratulations and thank you for being a part of largest digital science talent search
examination. As you are aware that you have successfully registered for Vidyarthi Vigyan
Manthan 2019-20. This letter is related to the Mock Exams scheduled to be held from 16th
October, 2019 onwards, to make the Students familiar with the VVM Exam Application. To
make it a grand success we anticipate the participation of each and every student so that you
get acquainted with the VVM Exam Application which will help in smooth commencement of
the final exam.

The guidelines/instructions are mentioned herein, if you have any queries kindly contact the
state coordinator designated to assist you from VVM’s website through ‘Contact Us – State
Coordinators – Your Respective State’ menu or the same can be found in your login page.

1. Mock Exam - 1
16th October 2019, Wednesday to 10th November 2019, Sunday
Duration- Anytime (24*7)
No. of questions- 80
Attempts - Any number of times.
Venue: Out of all the attended Mocks at least 1 mock should be from the Device which
will be used for the exam.

2. Mock Exam - 2
16th November 2019, Saturday to 17th November 2019, Sunday
Duration- From 10:00am – 10:00pm both the days
No. of questions- 80
Attempts - Any number of times.
Venue: Out of all the attended Mocks at least 1 mock should be from the Device which
will be used for the exam.

Please Note:
1. We have provided you with login credentials (Username and Password), so that you can
login to Application.
2. Exam will not be conducted in any of the Apple Devices.
3. As the Mock Exam as well as the final examination also will be conducted through App
only, download the VVM Exam - Students Application (Version 4.0)–
 Go to Google Play Store (Android) and search for VVM Exam Students Application.
Instructions related to the Mobile Application are as follows:
o The Application should be updated before every Mock Test.
o If you are not able to see the updates, uninstall and reinstall the App. Make sure
there is enough empty space (500mb) in your device.

o While installing the App please ensure you have allowed all the permissions. App
will not function until or unless you have not allowed the permissions.
o Please restart your Mobile/Tablet after installing the App.
o You are always suggested to check the Notifications of the VVM Exam App for
updates.
o The Invigilator Key for Mock Exams can be found at the "END" of “START” mock
test page or 1234.
o Mock Exams are designed to give you the Look and Feel of Examination. You are
not going to be evaluated for these mock exams. However you can check the
answers of attempted questions. No marks will be displayed for the same.

 Desktop versions, link to download the App is available on VVM website. Instructions
related to the Desktop/Laptop Application are as follows:
o To download the exam application (desktop version – Windows/Ubuntu) click on
the link given on the Dashboard of the School Account.
o Once the file is downloaded open it with administrator privileges (Right Click on
the App > Run as Administrator). Running/Opening the app as an administrator is
compulsory. To run/open the application as administrator on desktop/laptop
please Right click on the downloaded file. There you can see an option "Run as
administrator". Click on it. If it asks for a password, then enter the admin account
password of your computer/laptop. If you still face any issue:
 Before running application make sure you have jdk installed in your system –
if not link will be available at your dashboard to download and install.
 To check this type java-version on cmd (Command Prompt)
 Go to db-derby-10.14.2.0-bin\bin and start network server
 Open cmd and go to the path where jar file is located
 type command java-jar exam.jar and run
o To start exam, on the login screen, enter the Login Credentials provided to
students. Select the class from the drop-down menu. Enter the invigilator key as
1234. Press "Start Exam". To end the exam press “Submit Exam”.
5. Please ensure that you have not turned off the update notifications and necessary
permissions in order to login easily and give mock exams.
6. If there is a problem in logging in make sure that you are using updated VVM app on your
mobile/desktop for the exam else update it first and then login in App.
Guidelines related to conduction of Final Examination will be communicated shortly.
