You’ll need:
Ribbon/lace: width: around 4cm, length at the dimension of
your neck + 3cm (I used 37 cm)
1 button (18mm diameter)
Beads: 5 x swarovski bicones 3mm (Khaki), some black seed
beads and a ladybug bead.
Cotton or linen thread: black, creamy and red leftovers (2
ply).
Hook 2.00mm

1. Make the Poppy

This pattern is inspired by “Des idées et des mains”

With the black thread and the hook 2.00mm:

Chain 2.

R1: work 5sc in the second chain from hook.

R2: ch1, 2sc in each sc (= total 10sc)

R3: ch1, sc, (ch3, sk1, sc in next stitch) x 5

R4: in each ch-3 space, work: 1sc, ch2, 1dc, 1tr, 1dc, ch2, 1sc

Break off.

With the red thread, work:

R5: (1sc in sc, ch1, 2dc in ch-2 space, 2dc on each stitch, 2dc in
ch-2 space, ch1, 1sc) x 5

R6: (1sc in sc, 1tr in ch-1 space, 2dc on each stitch, 1tr in ch-1
space, 1sc) x 5

R7: sc on each stitch from the previous row, except sc (just


skip them)

Break off and weave in red ends.

2. The lace ribbon

Fold the right edge towards the wrong side on 1.5cm.

R1:

Insert the hook 2mm behind the fold and draw a loop with the
Cream thread. Chain 1.

Work 14sc

R2: Ch1, working on the front loops only, make 1sc on each sc

R3: Make the buttonhole: ch1, working back loops, work 2 sc,
ch 8, sk8, 1sc on each last three stitches .

R4: Ch1, working front loop, 1 sc on each sc, and 8sc in the ch-
8 space

R5: working back loop, 1 sc on each sc

R6: working front loop, 1sc on each sc.

Fold the opposite edge towards the back on 1.5cm and make an
invisible seam along the edge:

Sew the button:

And the Poppy 10 cm further to the left, using the black ends:

Sew 1 bicone in each ch-3 space from the second row, and the
ladybug at the left.
