Application of Rules for Assessing Strength of Planet

1. In a horoscope where the results of a house are to be offered by an occupant or owner itself,
the strength of the occupant or owner may be examined;
a. E.g. suppose there is no planet in Moon's star and moon occupies the 2nd house, then
the results of the 2nd house are to be offered by the occupant Moon. Now, suppose
Moon is in Conjunction with the natural malefic Rahu and it is aspected by the owner of
12 (Jupiter). So Moon becomes weak in offering good results of the 2nd house to the
desired extent.
2. In a horoscope where the results of a house are to be offered by the planet in the occupant's or
owner's star, the strength of the star lord may be examined; e.g. suppose Sun and Venus are in
the star Jupiter which is in the 10th angle/quadrant. So Sun and Venus become strong by house
and they are powerful to give the results of their star lord Jupiter.

Significations of Planets, Signs and Houses

To achieve correct judgment of planets at the above three levels (A, B & C), it is very important to
know and understand the significations of the planets, signs and houses which have explained below:

A. Signs
B. Houses
C. Planets

Planet Connected With

Rahu & Ketu

Thumb Rule: Since Rahu & Ketu do not own any sign hence they act as agent and give results of the
planet(s) they are in conjunction with or aspected by; and also the results of the owner of the signs they
are posited in. We also know the thumb rule that a planet gives results of its star lord; hence
synthesizing the Agent rule and Starlord rule Rahu & Ketu will give results as follows:

1. Rahu & Ketu as Planets: will give the results in the following chronology:
a. Firstly they will the results of the house(s) signified by the planet(s) which is/are in
conjunction with Rahu & Ketu
b. Secondly they will results of the house(s) signified by the planet(s) which are aspecting
Rahu & Ketu
c. Thirdly they will give results of its own Starlord
d. Fourthly the results of the owner/lord of the sign they are posited in
2. Rahu & Ketu as Starlord: when a planet is in the star of Rahu & Ketu, it will give the results or
signify the matter matters of the house(s) in the following chronology:
a. Planet will signify the matters of house occupied by Rahu & Ketu
b. Planets will signify the matters of the houses owned by the Starlord of Rahu & Ketu and
house occupied by the Starlord of Rahu & Ketu
c. Planets will signify the matters of the houses owned by the Sign Lord of the Sign
occupied by Rahu & Ketu
3. Rahu & Ketu as Significators: Rahu & Ketu are stronger than any planet. So if Rahu & Ketu
represent any significator planet Rahu & Ketu are to be given the first preference as significators
instead of that planet.

House Significators: Affairs or matters signified by the house are judged from the significators of that
house. Hence, the occupant, the owner, the planet in the star of the occupant and the planet in the star
of the owner of the house become the significators of that house.

Order of or Chronology of House Significators:

1. A planet in the star of the occupant of a house is stronger than the occupant of the house and
strongly gives result of that house, hence is given the first preference.
2. If there is not planet in the occupant of the house than the occupant strongly gives results of the
that house, hence is given the second preference
3. If there is not planet occupying a house then the planet in the star of the owner of the house
strongly gives results of that house, hence is given the third preference
4. If there is no planet in the star of the owner of the house then the owner itself becomes a strong
significator of that house, hence is given the fourth preference.
5. A planet in Conjunction or Association with, or Aspected by a significator gives the results of the
house or houses denoted by that significator. So the last preference should be given to the
planet in Conjunction or Aspect with that significator. If there is no planet in the house then the
planet aspecting that house will also give the results of that house i.e. is considered as
significator of that house.
