Testing Your Great Story Idea

Write out three story ideas using the format

found in the box below. Your ideas should sound
original, interesting and most of all it needs to
evoke emotion. Try to get it down to two
sentences at the most. I've provided some
examples.
(This exercise is about building your "pitch". You
will need it later when you're trying to get people involved in your
film idea so don't skip this exercise.)
My Idea:

After settling into his new home (name yet to be decided and
his landlord who is discussing the house with him) are
disrupted by a home invasion in which a masked psychopath
who is has been roaming the streets breaks into his house and
events occur which take a twisted turn as his house is slowly
turned into a death trap of disturbing proportions. This film
adheres to the horror genre and more specifically the home
invasion sub-genre and is set in the 2000’s.

A Killer has been caught but his victims are still in captivity
and in danger, and now seemingly put on a clock CID
Detective (name yet to be decided) starts to feel the pressure
as he races against time to find the killers victims before time
runs out. This film adheres to the Crime Thriller genre and is
set some time in the early 2000’s or late 90’s.

(name yet to be decided) is a killer, not because he wants to

be or because he finds some sort of sick enjoyment in it but
because a voice in his head tells him to (he believes this and
the audience is also lead to believe this), the stranger and
more known his targets become the closer the police get to
catching, and the further the police delve into his past (He
becomes a suspect) The more twisted his character starts to
appear. This film adheres to the Crime Thriller genre and is set
some point in the 2000’s
