Dear Matthew:
1 am pleased to inform you that the Faculty Professional Interests Committee has recommended, and our
office has approved, your faculty/student collaborative research project for summer 2019 entitled
‘COME! A Short Narrative Film”, in the amount of $6,000.
‘Your proposal was chosen from among a number of very deserving ones and appears to show significant
promise for both faculty development and student collaboration. We are leaving it to you to share this
good news with Reems Landreth and Alexis Rosario,
er your proposal, I see that your student will need student housing. Please remember that all students
‘must vacate campus housing by July 27, 2018, Please let me know the start and end date of your project
so that I ean work with Community Living to secure housing, Florida Southern will now allow student
researchers to work up to (but never over) 40 hours per week. If you need to adjust the timeframe of your
project because of this, feel free to do so.
Florida Southern College has been chosen as a pilot site for a University of Buffalo study called Evaluate
UR. | will be in touch with further details about how you and your student(s) will benefit from our
involvement
AAs you may recall, students who participate in the program must present their findings at the annual Fiat
Lux Academic Showcase during the 2019-2020 academic year. When you have completed the project,
my office will look forward to receiving a report on your activities.
Congratulations on this award to pursue this faculty/student summer collaboration!
