Content Standard The learner demonstrates understanding of: pre-colonial Philippine literature as a
means of connecting to the past; various reading styles; ways of determining word
meaning; the sounds of English and the prosodic features of speech; and correct
subject-verb agreement.
Performance Standard The learner transfers learning by: showing appreciation for the literature of the past;
comprehending texts using appropriate reading styles; participating in conversations
using appropriate context-dependent expressions; producing English sounds correctly
and using the prosodic features of speech effectively in various situations; and
observing correct subject-verb agreement.

At the end of the discussion, the students should be able to:
a. Define the term ‘pronoun’
b. Differentiate the purpose of using personal and possessive pronoun in daily dialogues.
c. Create their own sentences using personal and possessive pronouns.

- Sharing of situational examples about being personal and possessive.
B. Analysis
 In daily conversations or dialogues, how do you show through word that
something is very personal to you?
 What is the importance of using pronouns?

 Discussion about personal pronouns and its cases.
 Discussion about possessive pronouns.
D. Application

G4: Write 5 letters to an alien, a close friend, teacher, parents and stranger.
