APPENDIX JOB DESCRIPTION - QA/QC & DNV Supervisor

JOB ROLE SUMMARY


You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality management system (QMS) is fully implemented in an
organized and efficient manner. Support management and interact with multiple departments to ensure all
products meet quality standards and company specifications. Implementation of Client Quality System on
the project and supervision of QAlQC and DNV activities. This will include supporting the project teams in
project quality planning, proper implementing of Client QA-QC strategy, and driving the continuous
improvement efforts though quality metrics

Responsibilities
• Review all project documents like Codes, Specifications, Drawings, and Procedures used for
fabrications.
• Plan and Monitor Welding Procedure Qualification Test (WPQT) and Report, Welder's Qualification
Test (WQT) and Production Test on welds ..
• Develops and deploys the quality plan ensuring that it is documented and accessible throughout the
organization. Documents include but are not limited to policies, procedures, work instructions, forms
necessary to meet business requirements and quality system standards
• Review and assess all Radiographic film for defects and subsequent acceptance/rejection.
• Supports the Project Control Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters.
• Supervise and Coordinate all QAlQC activities in relation to fabrication and resolving any complains
raise by client regarding job quality requirements.
• Monitor welding operations and ensuring compliance-with project's specification/code requirements.
• Check and ensure that welding consumables are those specified, that their certificates are valid and
stored according to manufacturer/clients' specification and company procedure.
• Schedule daily inspections of welding activities and associated material verification, identificatio~ and
traceability requirements.
• Prepare and submit daily weld reports, fit-up reports; visual inspection reports and Non-destructive
Testing Requests and welding checklist
• Liaise with the structural/pipe fitter supervisors/foremen to ensure that fabrication works are done in
accordance with the shop drawings and project's requirements at the scheduled time.
• Mark up fabrication drawings with all As-Built information relating to welding and testing traceability
requirements.
• Liaise with clients or 3rd party inspectors to ensure adequate notification is given for ''Hold Point"
inspection and tests.
• Monitor and evaluate welder's repair rates and where necessary, making reports of recommendation for
improvements.
• Support / Participate in the preparation and evaluation of BNL & FEECL Tenders and Contracts on
aspects related to QA and QC;
• Check edge preparation and ensure proper weld fit up and orientation in accordance with APe Drawings,
and WPS
• Monitor Welder performance; check and record welding parameters and verify compliance with
approved WPS
• Perform Fit-up and Visual Inspection of welds as well as Provide QAQC supports during CLIENT
inspection facility visits
• Review all NDT Reports and Closing out any NCR.
• Prepare and Review PQR and PTW Dossiers for proper transmission to client.
• Ensure Equipment Calibration and Documentations is up to date.
• Follow up and complete certification of FEECL ISO certification
