REFLECTION PAPER

I know that this course, Quantity Surveying is one of the most important subject that is included in our curriculum.
On taking this subject, I expect that I will learn to estimate material quantity and cost, but on our final term I was
surprised since our instructor discussed about manpower or labor cost that enable us to completely estimate the cost of
construction of our building design project which is the propose 2-storey residential house.
Our professor is good at teaching us on this course, since she really makes quantity surveying as her job, she
explains every step by her knowledge on field, therefore we are really lucky as we will used this knowledge we are
learning when the time has come that we will work as quantity surveyor, or even if we want to be a business man
someday this learning can make us rich.
I learned that this field of civil engineering needs a lot of effort to be done since it also required knowledge on field
to correctly imagine the actual plan in your mind. I hope that someday I would be a good estimator to help my future
company and in order me to earn good profit when I start my own construction and design company. I want to thank my
professor for being a good teacher for us we learn a lot not only on books information but also in her real word
knowledge on field.
