Chapter 3 Closing
1. Conclusion
Conclusion
The conclusions that can be drawn from this material are, in Active voice, it is the
subject who performs an action and focuses the reader more on the subject rather than
the object. The subject is the beginning of the sentence.
example: * Jenny pursues a scholarship to study abroad without stopping. Not a
scholarship that is pursued for non-stop study abroad.
In the first sentence, the writer focuses on the subject, namely Jenny and the second
sentence focuses on the object, namely scholarship.
Whereas passive voice is a subject subject to action. The subject is usually at the end of
the sentence and preceded by the word "by", and sometimes the subject is even omitted if
it is deemed not important. The work words used to use be were) and followed the past
participle.
Example: * the house is being painted this monochrome them.
* Visitors where shown a collection of old money.
