Usage and Characteristics

Commercial air source heat-pump water heater produced by our company has been
currently widely used due to its following advantages: High energy efficiency ratio; freedom
from pollution; relatively little installation space occupied and convenient operation. Under
standard working condition, the rated heating capacity of heat-pump water heater is over four
times of that of electrical heating given equal electric energy consumed.
The heating principle of heat-pump water heater is to absorb heat from air and then release
it to water through change of status of refrigerant in the pipeline. The higher the external
ambient temperature, the more the heat absorbed and the more the heat released would be. On
the contrary, the lower the external ambient temperature, the less the heat absorbed and the less
the heat released would be. Heating capacity is measured under a standard working condition
with outdoor dry bulb temperature of 20℃, wet bulb temperature of 15℃ and inlet water
temperature of 15℃.

Use of Heat-pump Water Heater

 Please read this manual first in order to install and use the product correctly.
 The heat-pump water heater can only be installed by professionals. Users shall not
install the product on their own.
 Please strictly follow this manual during installation of heat-pump water heater.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Before maintenance of heat-pump water heater, the machine shall be shut down and
disconnected from power supply first. When it is not used, the power supply shall be cut and
the switch shall be disconnected.
Please do not use gasoline, essential oil, solvent and other chemical drugs or liquid
insecticide on the heat-pump water heater. Otherwise, the parts of the machine would be
cracked or deformed.

Installation of Heat-pump Water Heater

 The unit must be installed on a horizontal and firm concrete ground. Rubber blanket
can be added to reduce vibration and noise.
 The installation position of the unit shall be kept away from places sensitive to noise
like bedroom or study as much as possible. (The noise generated by the unit is within
a normal range.)
 The unit shall be installed in a position with favorable ventilation and without barrier.
 The drainage around the installation shall be unimpeded to ensure that the water does
not flow into the aisle, for it may result in water accumulation or icing (the unit
generates abundant condensate water when running under a high-humidity and cold
environment).
 It is forbidden to install the unit in a combustible and explosive environment with
abundant dust, oil dirt, and corrosive gases.
 If the unit runs under an environment with temperature lower than 0℃ for a long time,
please ensure that the installation position is at least 300mm above the ground in order
to prevent coverage of accumulated snow from affecting the performance unit the
unit
 The unit shall not be installed in a place exposed to direct strong air blowing (shown
in Figure B), for it would compromise the capacity and efficiency of the unit. An
isolating device can be added to prevent entry of wind, rain and snow into the unit;
however, the isolating device shall not affect the air circulation of the unit.
 A proper distance shall be kept between the unit and the building to ensure a sufficient
repair space for the unit. Air inlet and outlet shall be free from any barrier. The
minimal distance between three sides of air inlet of heat-pump water heater and the
- 11 -
wall shall be above 150mm. A sufficient space shall be reserved at the door plank side
of front of the unit for overhaul.

Installation Steps
Drill mounting holes in relevant positions on the beam column of ground where thermal
insulation water tank is installed. Then, punch in expansion bolt, and use wrench to turn the
nut to ensure that it expands and firmly contacts with the ground. Then, install the thermal
insulation water tank and use the nut for tightening. Use the same method to install windproof
fixed rope and lightning protection device.
The unit is installed aside the thermal insulation water tank. Align the drainage nozzle of
the unit at the drainage exit beneath the chassis of the unit and then screw it in and rotate it by
90℃. Connect drain pipe and lead the condensate water of the unit to the drain pipe.
Connect the water inlet pipe of the unit with the tap water pipe; connect the return water
pipe of the unit with the return water opening of thermal insulation water tank; connect the
water outlet pipe of the unit with the water inlet of thermal insulation water tank.
Check if filter is installed at water inlet and return water opening of the unit and ensure
that the water circulation system of the unit is not blocked.
Connect the power connecting lines of the unit with users’ dedicated power switches as
per U, V, W, N and E.
Connect the water level control line of the unit to the thermal insulation water tank and
regulate the position of high water level switch based on the water volume needed. If you need
to check different water levels in thermal insulation water tank from the water level indication
of operation panel, please connect water level detection line and switch according to the wiring
diagram.

Test Run
After completion of all installation tasks, the machine must be started to conduct test run.
Before operation, electrical safety inspection must be conducted. Connect to the power supply,
touch functional switches on the operation panel, and properly set up each parameter according
to users’ demands. The unit starts to run three minutes later. Observe if the unit runs normally,
hear the running sound of unit to see if it is stable, and observe if each parameter in the display
screen is normal.

Repair
When your heat-pump water heater cannot function normally, please shut down the power
supply immediately. then, you may get contact with the distribution store where you purchase
the machine or customer technical service department of our company and request for repair.
Please never repair the machine on your own at will.
