MY MASTERS PROGRAMME STUDY PLAN

INTRODUCTION OF MY BACKGROUND
My name is Aliyu Abdulqadir, bonified of Nasarawa LGA, Nasarawa
State as the 17th in the family. In 2016, I completed one-year
compulsory service (NYSC 2016 BATCH A), in 20110 I entered Kaduna
Polytechnic and majored in Chemical Engineering, the four year –
long study together with research laid a solid foundation in science
and technology for me. The pleasure I got from studying and doing
research made me decide to pursue a career in Chemical
Engineering.

WHY DO I CHOOSE THIS COURSE AND STUDY IN UNITED KINGDOM?

Chemical engineering is a degree that is well respected in industry
and commerce and will equip you with skills that are easily
transferable and highly sought after. United Kingdom is one of the
vast growing country with full of technology and commerce, which
further researches are carried out for future development of making.
To be able to study in this country it is a blessing and lucky as it will no
doubt benefit me greatly for my career. It will give me opportunity to
interact with and learn from the best engineers in the world and
participate in cutting – edge researches.
The Universities I choose; I believe there are one the bests university in
the country with full of research success. Studying in one of the
universities will be good, I choose this program for its prestigious
needs in the society as it evolves around us (all every day used
products), stimulating atmosphere and beautiful sceneries.

DETAILED PLAN
I will pursue my Master’s degree in Chemical engineering. The
normal length of the study is about two to three years. Throughout
these years, my study and research will be focused on process
optimization and renewable energy (waste to energy). The full
details of this will be discussed with my supervisor. The time
arrangement of the master’s program in chemical engineering as
follows:

FIRST YEAR
I would like to put most effort of my first year on studying core
courses. I will also attend seminars. Besides, I will select some lecturers
as my research director and attend all the discussion in his/her
group. And also carried out all necessary things needed for me to
excel in the future endeavor.

SECOND YEAR
I will join research group and some preliminary research. I will then
finish my graduate research proposal under the instruction of my
research advisor.
FINAL YEAR
The program may run to extra year due to some adjustment by the
Scholarship organization or may not reach to these years.
