Read the text:

Dinosaurs were reptiles that lived during the period of Earth’s history called the
Mesozoic Era, which is also known as the Age of Reptiles. The first dinosaurs appeared more
than 200 million years ago. For many millions of years, they dominated the land until about
65 million years ago, when they died out suddenly.
The word “dinosaurs” comes from two Greek words, meaning “terrible lizards”. The
biggest ones weighed more than ten times as much as an elephant and nearly equalled the size
of most modern-day whales. The famous kinds of dinosaurs reached 80 to 90 feet in length.
Not all dinosaurs were giants – some were actually not larger than a chicken.
Scientists still do not know what caused dinosaurs to disappear. One theory involves a
change in the Earth’s climate. It is believed that temperatures dropped significantly towards
the end of the Cretaceous Period. Too large to hibernate, and not having fur or feathers for
protection, it is possible that the climate became too chilly for dinosaurs. In contrast, other
species, such as birds, had protection and were able to survive.

Anna, seventh duchess of Bedford, often felt hungry and tired at around for o`clock in the

Read the following text:

Ever since humans inhabited the Earth, they have made use of various forms of
communication. Generally, this expression of thoughts and feelings has been in the form of
oral speech. When there is a language barrier, communication is accomplished through sign
language in which motions stand for letters, words and ideas.
Tourists, the deaf and the mute, have had to resort to this form of expression. Many of
these symbols are very picturesque and exact and can be used internationally; spelling,
however, cannot.
Body language transmits ideas or thoughts by certain actions, either intentionally or
unintentionally. A wink can be a way of flirting or indicating that the people are only joking.
A nod signifies approval, while shaking the head indicates a negative reaction.
Other forms of non-linguistic language can be found in Braille (a system of raised dots
read with the fingertips), signal flags, Morse code and smoke signals. Road maps and picture
signs also guide, warn and instruct people.
While verbalisation is the most common form of language, other systems and
techniques also express human thoughts and feelings.
