1. Included in this version

This version of WinFIOL includes the following


components:

- COM port support (RS232)


- Modem support (TAPI)
- Telnet support (TCP/IP)
- IOG 3, IOG 11, IOG 20, APG 30, MD110 and Eripax support
- external script plug-in
- active printout plug-in
- dangerous command plug-in
- monitoring plug-in
- error log plug-in
- automatic login support
- LDAP client support
- DocView for Windows support
- ALEX for Windows support
- ALEX server support
- DynaText 2.3 and 3.1 support
- KRSWin 3.2.23 support

Not included:
- MTP/X.25 support
- CommandForm

2. Installation

The installation is done by running:


INSTALL.EXE

WinFIOL can be uninstalled by running:


UNINSTAL.EXE UNINSTAL.INI

Any data files are not removed when uninstalling

3. Known Problem Areas

1) The order of the toolbar buttons added by the user


cannot be changed in the "Tool bar" page of the
preferences dialog box.

2) The echo wait function is missing. This function is


only useful when connecting to IOG 3.

3) WinFIOL 5.2 can not read channel files created by


WinFIOL 4.1 or earlier versions.

4) Occasionally, a connection to a LDAP server fails.

5) Sometimes after failed connection to remote call-


through or callback modem WinFIOL 5.2 does not free
the modem line until WinFIOL is restarted or the
operating system is restarted. This problem occurs
in Windows 95.
