Horticulture II Landscaping- Release of Liability

I ______________________________(Parent/Guardian) realize that students enrolled in horticulture will be handling greenhouse equipment,
soils/fertilizers, as well as materials for science experiments necessary for classroom instruction. The proper handling and storage of these
materials will be carefully explained to students before they are used. Students are required to wear closed toe shoes for all labs. If they do
not have the proper attire I realize they WILL NOT be allowed to participate and will be required to do an alternate assignment and will lose
participation points for the day. The student is required to participate in all labs as they are a major component of the curriculum. If they
choose not to participate they are required to complete a 1-page essay on the current research topic. Should my student participate, I agree to
not hold Ms. Hollifield, Bartlett Yancey High School, or Caswell County Schools responsible in the event of an accident while my student is
engaged in any laboratory exercise.
