WASHING HANDS TECHNIQUE IN PHARMACEUTICAL

6.2.1. Employees working in the manufacturing area must wash their hands
properly before entering the processing area.
6.2.2. Hands must always be washed:

1. Before commencing work.

2. Between performing different task.
3. Immediately after using the toilet and returning to work station.
4. After handling contaminated item or when unsanitary task has been
performed.

6.2.3. Below is the procedure given for hand washing:

1. Wet the hands with water.

2. Take some liquid soap on the palm.
3. Make lather of the soap by rubbing palm together.
4. Rub your hands as below step wise:
4.1. Both the palms together.
4.2. Rub back of each hand with the other palm.
4.3. Interlace finger and rub together.
4.4. Curl the back of the finger into one palm then the other.
4.5. Hold thumb and rotate with both hands.
5. Wash the hands with plenty of water.
6. Dry the hand with the help of Dryer.
7. The above process will be done every time when the workers are entering
in the process area.
