Statement of Purpose

Right for my schooling I had special interest towards emerging trends in technology likewise and
my school in way indirectly helped me as it is the first one in my hometown to provide its
students with best technology that was available and teach them to the students and my first
rendezvous with computer was at the age of 11 when my parents had bought it up with their
hard-earned money and it all started when my parents saw my talent and aspiration towards a
computer during the time when I helped him in a small system restart problem and then my
parents felt the passion for computers and also learn regarding them. When I started learning and
understanding DOS that was very popular at the time. Intrigued by the power of these basic
languages and very keen to learn how to assemble a computer, I refurbished the hardware of my
computer at the age of 13; all on my own. I was fascinated by the setup on how such an
integration of instruments can be done on a very small scale. The individual routes laid out for
each individual piece of work on a single piece of board has left me astonished for a very long
time. As most of my schooling was a joyous and memorable part. The overall freedom and life
skills were learnt at school only. At school, we had exposure for various Social, Co-curricular
and Extra-curricular events. I was also a sports person at school, played in the school cricket
team and it is place where I still want to go even I grew old.

My Bachelor’s curriculum exposed me to a wide range of Electronics and communication

courses, laying a strong foundation in the same field. I got a chance to delve deeper into the
concepts of Basic Electrical & Electronics, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Computer
Organization, Networking, Analog and Digital Communication etc. Always being good at
mathematics, I was also quick to learn programming languages such as C, Matlab, and java. In
the third semester, I was introduced to Matlab, which taught me how and image can be
efficiently processed and retrieved through it, and it caught my interest. The concept of image
processing made more sense to me now and I realized how powerful it is and how an Electronics
and Communication engineer’s work in programming helps various fields of professions like
Doctors in MRI,CT scans, Geologists in detecting mines and minerals etc.

One another project I did in November 2014 was ‘Seven Segment Display by using IC’s ’. The
main objective of his project was to develop a comprehensive implementation strategy for the
display of my own branch E.C.E and its application was to put it as a display board in various
class rooms and to control it remotely. It would provide easy-to-use student friendly display
boards for various events and reduce the burden of announcements. A workshop has been
attended, when I was in my third year in 2016 based on robotics. The main idea for attending that
workshop is to provide an environment friendly robot that can be used as a means of transport,
electronic skateboard and also a robot that could serve the disaster relief rescuers in find the
victims of various natural calamities using Thermal Imaging by the help of Thermal sensors.
This project I did under the course of E-yantra in collaboration with IIT Bombay.

Within my undergraduate course, I attended an internship by BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam

Limited), the National based Communications Service Provider in my second semester of third
year. The internship covers Network Types, Network Media, Switching Fundamentals, TCP/IP,
IP Addressing and Routing, WAN Technologies, and Managing Network Environments. It
helped me learn Extending Switched Networks with VLANS, Determining IP Routes, and
Managing IP traffic with Access Lists, Establishing Point-to-Point connections, and Establishing
Frame Relay Connections. In my final year of my under graduation I have done my final project
on Antennas based on High Frequency Structural Simulation Software. This project was entirely
based on Patch Antennas, its operation at various frequency ranges, based on High Frequency
Structural Simulation Software. A lot of dedication was put during the final project period as it
was a test for my problem-analyzing skill; the out of the box approach put me ahead of my co-
students. The efforts to understand the basics of the software, to put up good presentation
regarding the project are vital. So, how difficult the task is my way of sticking on to the basics
has helped me a lot. Before the major outcome, various minor patch antennas at various other
frequencies were simulated and paper based understanding helped his way to bring out the best
outcome possible.

The MS program in Electronics and electrical Engineering at your prestigious university, Canada
is my preferred academic course because of its expansive curriculum with courses in
programming, telecommunications, and Antenna systems. These courses will help me to gain
specialized knowledge in Programming Languages, Analysis of various frequency bands,
Randomized Applications of transmission lines and optical fiber systems and also help me to
become nemesis in that subject. I will also get an opportunity to work in your laboratory where
research on next generation communication techniques like 5G networking and fabrication
techniques is being carried on. I find the Zero Touch technology which is an optical multi-touch
interaction and is an idea behind the laboratory very impressive because students are encouraged
here to express their individual creativity and expression. I believe it will give me a great degree
of expertise and exposure that will add greatly to my knowledge and skills in
Telecommunications, Fabrication Techniques and other intelligent systems. I am looking
forward to my life-changing years at your university. With the right blend of expert guidance that
I will get at the University and my self-motivation, I am confident of achieving my life’s goal
and my career will be in flying colors and that would also bring fame to the university and to my
parents.
