ˇ Christian Elders—‘Fellow Workers for Our Joy’

In his second letter to the Corinthians, Paul said about
himself and others: “We are fellow workers for your joy.”
(2 Corinthians 1:24) What can elders learn from those
words of Paul? And how can we encourage one another
to continue serving God with joy? In this article we will
answer these questions.

MAKE GOOD CHOICES
21 Jehovah has given humans the
right to make choices in their lives.
(Read Deuteronomy 30:19, 20.) But
this means that we have a responsibil-
ity to make good choices. Each Chris-
tian should ask himself: ‘Have I been
making choices that keep me on the
right road? Have I allowed my employ-
ment and career, recreation and en-
tertainment, or family relationships to
separate me from Jehovah?’
22 Jehovah never stops loving his

people. So nothing can separate us

from Jehovah unless we make bad
choices. (Romans 8:38, 39) But that
does not have to happen! Make sure
that you allow nothing to separate
you from Jehovah. The next article
will talk about four more areas of
life where we need to be careful about
our choices.

JEHOVAH GOD created humans with the need

STAY CLOSE TO JEHOVAH!
19 The seven things we discussed
in these two articles are not always
wrong. We take pride in being Jeho-
vah’s Witnesses. We can enjoy a hap-
py family life and good health. Work
and money are necessary so that we
can take care of ourselves and our
family. Recreation is good for us, and
electronic devices can help us. But we
have to remember that if we do any-
thing at the wrong time, in the wrong
amount, or in the wrong way, we can
separate ourselves from Jehovah.
