1.1 Prerequisites
The prerequisites described in chapter Error! Reference source not found."Error!
Reference source not found." are met.
1.2 Procedure
Run the following commands to collect disk array information directly and return it to R&D
engineers (in normal cases, some commands may not generate command outputs):
# ssh admin@192.168.9.229 (Please use the IP written on the controller)

S2600 Disk Array Information Integrity Check and
Collection Guide (Sun) 1 Manually Collecting the S2600 Disk Array Information
2.1 Prerequisites
The M2000 server is properly connected to the disk array.
The disk array has been powered on.
A PC is available.
The disk array has been started.
The serial cable delivered with the S2600 disk array is available. One end of the serial
cable is the RJ-45 connector and the other end is the DB-9 connector.
CAUTION
Only one user is allowed to log in to the S2600 disk array at the same time. When the
script is running, ensure that no any other user logs in to the S2600 disk array.
Only the serial cable delivered with the S2600 disk array can ensure proper
communication between the PC and the disk array. If this serial cable is not used, the
communication fails.
2.2 Procedure
Step 1 Insert the DB-9 connector to a serial port (COM1 or COM2) of the PC.
Step 2 Insert the RJ-45 connector of the serial cable into the CLI serial port (MGNT) of controller A
of the S2600 disk array, as shown in Figure 2-1.
Each controller of the disk array has one CLI serial port (MGNT). Figure 2-1 shows the serial
ports of the S2600 disk array.

Collection Guide (Sun) 2 Collecting Disk Array Information Using a Serial Port
CAUTION
When using the serial cable to connect controller A to the PC, you must connect the serial
cable and controller A to the PC in sequence.
When disconnecting the serial cable between controller A and the PC, you must disconnect
it from controller A and the PC in sequence.
After you use the serial port to connect controller A to the PC, do not start them at the
same time.
Step 3 Open PuTTY, and set a log save path, as shown in Figure 2-2.
Step 4 Use PuTTY to log in to a serial port and set serial port attributes.
Figure 2-3 shows how to use PuTTY to log in to a serial port.

Attribute Value
Speed (baud) 115200
Data bits 8
Parity None
Stop bits 1
Flow control None
Step 6 In the successful connection interface, type a user name and password.
An interface indicating a successful login is displayed, as shown in Figure 2-5.
The initial administrator name of the S2600 disk array is admin and the password is 123456.
CAUTION
Only one user is allowed to log in to the S2600 disk array at the same time. If "user admin is
logging in!" is displayed during the login, another user has logged in to the disk array.
Step 7 Run the following commands to collect S2600 disk array information:
OceanStor: admin> showsys
OceanStor: admin> showrg
OceanStor: admin> showdisk -l
OceanStor: admin> showlun
