Note
[K0756] or [K0758] To do the load of the performance database, refer to data
module 39-A-45-45-00-00B-75CC-A.
1 Make sure that the Computer (ZZ-00-00) (with Windows XP or Windows 7) is in the
correct configuration. Differently, use the PC card supplied with the PRIMUS EPIC LAN
interface kit (RF-01-00) to get the correct configuration. To do this, refer to the software-
driver installation instructions contained in the manual supplied with the kit.

2 Make sure that the EPIC tools for Agusta AW139/AB139 (RD-03-00) is installed in the
laptop computer.

3 Connect the external electrical power to the helicopter and set it to on. Refer to 39-A-12-
41-00-00A-730A-A.

4 Make sure that the helicopter is safe for maintenance.

Note
Two LAN ports are available for the CMC servicing operations. They are installed in
the left and right side of the nose avionic bay. Figure 1 shows the location of the LAN
ports.
5 Get access to the LAN port (2) in the nose avionics bay.

6 Remove the 50-Ohm terminator (1) from the LAN port (2).

7 Assemble the PRIMUS EPIC LAN interface kit (RF-01-00) as follows:

7.1 Connect the free end of the LAN/coaxial interface-cable to one side of the BNC T-
connector.
7.2 Connect the 50-Ohm BNC plug resistor to the opposite side of the BNC T-connector.
7.3 Connect the base of the BNC T-connector to the BNC coaxial/RJ45 adapter.

8 Connect the BNC coaxial/RJ45 adapter to the PCMCIA PC card (part of the kit). Install
the PCMCIA card in the laptop computer.

9 Connect the connector of the coaxial cable (part of the kit) to the LAN port (2).

10 Do the performance database installation procedure. Obey the instructions that follow:
10.1 Energize the laptop computer.
10.2 If the kit 4G0000F00111 “Increase Gross Weight (IGW), until 6800 Kg” is installed, do the
steps that follow:
10.2.1 Insert the Performance database (31-43-00-04-005 ) CD-ROM in the cd-rom drive.
10.2.2 On the “DLS INSTALLATION FUNCTION” browse window, set the file
FMS_ACDB_AGST_60000218–003.
10.3 If the kit 4G0000F00311 “LGS Increased Gross Weight 7000 Kg” is installed), do the
steps that follow:
10.3.1 Insert the Performance DB CD (7000 Kg) (32-00-00-01-006 ) in the cd-rom drive.
10.3.2 On the “DLS INSTALLATION FUNCTION” browse window, set the file
FMS_ACDB_AGST_60000218–004

10.4 On the laptop computer, run the CMC RT tool. Then set the “FULL LOAD” option.
10.5 On the “DLS Installation Function” page, push the “SELECT FILE” button to install the
PERF DB. For reference only, see Figure 2 .
10.6 Remove the cd-rom from the laptop computer.

11 Do the checks that follow:

11.1 If the kit 4G0000F00111 “Increase Gross Weight (IGW), until 6800 Kg” is installed, do the
steps that follow:
11.1.1 Make sure that, on the Number 1 primary flight display (PFD1) and Number 2 primary
flight display (PFD2) the cyclic position indicator is in the neutral center position.
11.1.2 Make sure that you can set the weights in order to get the "GROSS WT 6451 Kg" in the
PERFORMANCE INIT-KG 3/3 page.
11.1.3 Set the weights to 6801 Kg. Make sure that the “EXCEEDS MAX GROSS WEIGHT”
message comes in view on the MCDU. Then make sure that the “CONFIRM INIT” linekey
does not come in view.
11.2 If the kit 4G0000F00311 “LGS Increased Gross Weight 7000 Kg” is installed), do the
steps that follow:
11.2.1 Make sure that you can set the weights in order to get the "GROSS WT 6451 Kg" in the
PERFORMANCE INIT-KG 3/3 page.
11.2.2 Set the weights to 7001 Kg. Make sure that the “EXCEEDS MAX GROSS WEIGHT”
message comes in view on the MCDU. Then make sure that the “CONFIRM INIT” linekey
does not come in view.

12 Do the Navigation DB and ACFT PERFV DB test as follows:

12.1 On the MFD, open the System. Get access to the “Sys Config 001/016” page. Make sure
that the top level system Part Number is: EB7030191–0011X.
12.2 Make sure that on the pages that follow, the code AW139-7-XCC (where X is a private
code and CC = cycle) comes in view:
- The FMS 1 NAV and FMS 2 NAV on the Sys Config 002/016 page of the MFD
system
- The NDB on the NAV IDENT 1/1 page on the MCDU NAV.

12.3 On the “Sys Config 002/016” page of the MFD, make sure that one of the PERF DB that
follows is installed:
- The PERF DB 60000218-003 (If the kit 4G0000F00111 “Increase Gross Weight
(IGW), until 6800 Kg” is installed) or
- The PERF DB 60000218-004 (if the Kit 4G0000F00311 “LGS Increased Gross
Weight 7000 Kg” is installed).

13 Remove electrical power to the laptop computer.

14 Remove the PCMCIA card from the laptop computer. Disconnect the BNC coaxial/RJ45
adapter from the PCMCIA card.

15 Disconnect the external electrical power from the helicopter. Refer to 39-A-12-41-00-00A-
