Module 1 and 2 and cw problems given
Module 1
1. An op amp wired in the inverting configuration with the input grounded, having R2=100KΩ
and R1=1KΩ, has an output dc voltage of −0.5V. If the input bias current is known to be
very small, find the input offset voltage.
(Ans: 5mV)

2. Determine both the input and output voltage in this circuit.

Ans: Vin=10 V Vout=46 V

3. Draw completely compensated [ Input bias current+ Input offset current + input offset
voltage] noninverting amplifier.

4.Design a compensating network for the LM307 Op-amp. The Op-amp uses ± 10V supply
voltages. Vio specified on the datasheet of the LM307 is 10mV maximum. The value of V= VCC
= -VEE = 10 V.
5. Using the circuit shown in Figure calculate V0 if Vs=0V.

6. Calculate the input voltage if the final output is 10.08 V

Ans 0.168 V

7. Determine the value of Rf (assuming that all have the same value)
Ans: 50 k

8.

9. What is the highest frequency of a triangle wave of 20-V peak-to-peak amplitude that can be
reproduced by an op amp whose slew rate is 10V/µs? For a sine wave of the same frequency

feedback. Calculate the percentage of output which is feedback to the input.

Ans: 1.5%

offset voltage for a closed loop inverting op-amp, if input resistance Ri=470 Ω and
feedback resistance Rf =4.7 kΩ. Op-amp has the following specification: Ao=4x105, Ri=2
MΩ, UGB=0.6MHz, Supply voltage=±15V, Maximum output swing voltage=±13V.

Rof=1.64x10-3 Ω, bandwidth BW=54.6 kΩ and total offset voltage=±0.354 mV.

4. Find R1 and RF in the lossy integrator so that the peak gain is 20 dB and the gain is 3 dB
