NWPS KPIs 2019-2020

1. Progress
Improve the progress in Arabic for Cycle 2 to Good and maintain Good progress in Cycle 3 students
Arabic by ensuring that at least 75% of students at this stage are making predictable progress, and that at
least 51% of their total exceeds expected.
Improve progress of Cycle 1 students in English to GOOD by ensuring that at least 75% of children in
this phase make expected progress and at least 51% of their total number exceed that.
Improve progress of Cycle 2 and 3 in English to Good particularly in the boys’ sections by ensuring
English
that at least 75% of students in this phase make expected progress and at least 51% of their total
number exceed that.
Focus and intensive work on students in the general stream.
Improve progress of KG students in Mathematics to VERY GOOD by ensuring that at least 75% of
children in this phase make expected progress and at least 62% of their total number exceed that.
Improve progress of Cycle 1 students in Mathematics to GOOD by ensuring that at least 75% of
children in this phase make expected progress and at least 51% of their total number exceed that.
Mathematics Improve progress of Cycle 2 & Cycle 3 students in Mathematics to GOOD by ensuring that at least
75% of children in this phase make expected progress and at least 51% of their total number exceed
that.
● Raise the grade 9 boys’ level from (41.8% to 60%) inline & above
● Raise the grade10 boys’ level from. (35.8% to 60%)
Improve progress of KG & Cycle 1 children in Science to GOOD by ensuring that at least 75% of
children in this phase make expected progress and at least 51% of their total number exceed that.
Improve progress of Cycle 2 &3 students in Science to GOOD by ensuring that at least 75% of students

Raise the grade 10 boys’ level in Phys from (43.3% to 60%) inline & above
Raise the grade 11 boys’ level in Phys from. 65.6% to 75%)
Personal Development
Improve personal development of Cycle 3 students to Good by ensuring that at least 75% of students in the identified
cycle with a focus on boys section meet expected progress and that at least 51% of their total number exceeds that.
Teaching
Raise the quality of teaching at NWPS to GOOD by ensuring that most of the lessons delivered in all phase across all
the subjects (particularly the 6 key ones) are GOOD.
Curriculum
Improve Curriculum Adaptation in Cycle 1,2 & 3 to acceptable by ensuring adequate modification of the curriculum
to meet the needs of most groups of students
Health and Safety
Achieve Good in 5.1 by ensuring that the school premises are safe and that staff understand their collective
responsibility for safety and safe-guarding of students.
Care & Protection
Improve the provision for students of determination to GOOD by improving the identification and assessment
processes.
Improve the provision for students of determination to GOOD by ensuring that the levels of supervision of students
are improved.
Improve the rating to GOOD by enabling students' academic progress to be assessed and demonstrated more
accurately by using a consistent system across the school.
Improve the rating to GOOD by urgently modifying the IEPs so that they indicate clearly the barriers to learning and
how best these can be overcome.
Improve the rating to GOOD by modifying, accommodating and adapting curriculum within the lessons consistently;
and adjusting interventions and support to match the key barrier to students’ learning.
Leadership
Achieve GOOD in 6.1 by ensuring that senior and middle leaders are effective in their performance, and their impact
in their respective areas of responsibility is at least GOOD.
SEF
Achieve GOOD in 6.2 through establishing a comprehensive self-evaluation process which involves all stakeholders,
producing an accurate self-evaluation document based on rigorous analysis of information and data covering all aspects
of the school, particularly students’ attainment and progress levels. The improvement plans are comprehensive and based
on thoughtful SEF. They contain detailed actions and well-focused goals. They result in positive effects on students’
achievement.
